I don't mind raunchy comedy. THERE'S SOMETHING ABT MARY started a whole new genre. Remember the hair gel? But after that, people just go for shock value: the horrible, unfunny SCARY MOVIE series, and the even worse HAUNTED HOUSE. MARY is truly funny, WEDDING CRASHERS got heart, the rest are just dull.

FF, muscle cars, outlaw attitude, this surely plays very well in Europe with your Formula 1 race events all year round.

It's thrilling they take a more realistic approach to Bond but I sorely miss the bombastic Bond like MOONRAKER, GOLDENEYE (the tank scene), DIE ANOTHER DAY with all the exotic gadgets. I don;t know if the producers will go back to that mold.

He plays a "Chinaman" John Goodman's words. Chow is a Chinese last name. Choi, however, is Korean.

Dude, you are from China. I don;t know whether you are of Chinese descent or not. But how do you or other Chinese take that grotesque caricature played Ken Jeong. I literally cringed at every moment this character appeared onscreen. He is funny in small doses in HO1. But he overstayed his welcome in #2 and he is simply atrocious in #3. I take it Chinese audience would simply walk out.

This movie is mean spirited and unfunny. I am not surprised US audience is not lapping it up. And I have enough of Ken Jeong's

With OS numbers, Warner will still make money. Too bad, HO2 still leaves a bad taste for some and they should not feature a supporting character (Chow) too much in the third.

AE would steal some of the audience a bit next weekend. The next interesting weekend is MOS June 14th berth. And how it holds up against MU & WHD.

I toldja people to move the Wolfpack out of FF6's way to the following weekend. AE is for earnest genre fans, little demographics overlap. Next weekend's INTERNSHIP sounds so safe that it belongs to another genre.

Well, AVATAR is a full blown scifi. IM is in a way a scifi (The US military actually has a functioning Iron Man suit though not as sexy as Tony Stark design). OBLIVION is scifi but the thoughtful pacing has audience sighing in boredom. This is a movie for hardcore scifi fans who would acknowledge the references to other science fictions. Problem is OBLIVION is not as thought provoking as DARK CITY or MATRIX. Joe Kosinski should work in a big budget, mass audience platform, not some high profile but neglected movies like this. This guy has shown real talent with only 2 movies under his belt. He needs to be paired with a strong writer.

I was hoping for something to top EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Falcon asteroid chase, or the Boba Fett vs Obi Wan dogfight in ATTACK OF CLONES. But I guess we have to wait for another few years for SW7 or TREK3. OBLIVION has a very good dogfight but too little too late
