I guess so:

Box office behemoth! Marvel's THE AVENGERS officially scored $55M this weekend, for a jaw-dropping total of $457M--#6 all-time domestic!
Gitesh Pandya @giteshpandya
#16.8M global THU for #Avengers w/ new cume of $1.071B for #6 on alltime worldwide list.
That would mean a $10.6M OS Thursday and a $669M OS Total.

Tuesday's top movies: 1. THE AVENGERS $8.5M ($389M), 2. DARK SHADOWS $2.5M ($34M), 3. THINK LIKE A MAN $500k ($82M)
A nice 7% increase over Monday if this estimate holds...
The Avengers in The Netherlands:Weekend 1: €1,125,704Weekend 2: €1,103,407 (-2.0%)Weekend 3: €527,179 (-52.2%)Total: €3,805,603Not a great hold, but the week before last week was a school holiday, so Thursday and Friday from last weekend were inflated.
If we can get an additional $25M worldwide on Thursday, it would be exactly at $800M before the weekend. A $100M weekend in North America and a $100M weekend in the rest of the world would bring it exactly to $1B. Sounds too good to be true...

Marvel's THE AVENGERS has now assembled $775.4M worldwide--$517.8M Int'l, $257.6M Domestic
So that's a $17.7M Wednesday. Considerable drops from Monday and Tuesday...
It made $262M last week (Mon-Sun). It would need a $203M week to reach $650M, which would be a 22.5% week-to-week drop. It seems difficult, even though it opened in China and Russia last weekend. Can it cross $350M in North America by Sunday?
I guess TA will take most (if not all!) records that TDK currently owns at BOM:http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/?page=byrecord&p=.htmThe "5-Day Gross" record is already in the bag after 3 days!
