  1. Difficult to see Barbie hitting 160 with that drop. Oppenheimer should clear 80m though. Now if they could sum up to 236.7m that will be splendid
  2. Oppenheimer tickets at the IMAX nearest to me is 1600 (20 USD) for middle seats and 2500 (30 USD) for recliners at the back. Even for the morning shows. Like fuck I am paying that! Thats more than IMAX tickets in US/Can. Unsurprisingly its almost fully booked for the weekend and more than half booked for the weekdays/next weekend. Had to cancel plans for Oppenheimer this weekend and it seems like gonna have to cancel next weekend too. The prices are outrageous
  3. That was better than expected ngl. I saw the trailer expecting bad VFX after the poster debacle but the VfX was good by Indian standards. Judging by the like/dislike ratio on youtube it seems the public also has the same opinion.
  4. This will drop 100m domestically and maybe the same amount in China too. South Korea I see it dropping 10-20 million or so. It all depends on quality too of course but billion is out of question imo
  5. Moderation: We have a separate thread to discuss Loki (and all other such shows) at If someone wishes they can even create a separate thread in that section for Loki II (though I think it unnecessary at this time). Please keep discussions here on topic about The Marvels movie. Thanks
  6. Update - Flopped has been suspended for 6 months for reaching 10 warning points and having served a prior 3 months suspension.
  7. Update - Rebelscum86 has been permanently banned for creating an alt account (botbot23) to evade a suspension.
  8. There are no schedules list for around that time so if you wish to do the list (and if a similar list has not been done recently) then I see no problems with going ahead with it.
  9. Ah the good old days. Miss the times when Rth would post comic book covers for us to guess the numbers, that was always fun to guess and even more to get it right.
  10. 11. @elcaballero @DAJK @Fancyarcher @Rorschach @Goldenhour36 @Asyulus @SLAM! @The Dark Alfred *A dimly lit Tribal Council area, with six contestants sitting on individual wooden benches. ZeeSoh stands at a podium* Zeesoh: Welcome back to Tribal Council, where tensions are running high after a three-way tie in the last immunity challenge. I am your guest host for tonight as King Penguin and Mr. Slam Miyamoto both enjoy the tropics. DAJK, Rorschach, and Goldenhour36, how are you feeling about that result? DAJK: Very irritated Zeesoh, it's frustrating to put in so much effort and still end up in a tie. I wanted that immunity. Rorschach: *Grumbling* It feels like a missed opportunity. Goldenhour36: I had my hands on that immunity idol. It's frustrating to have it slip through my fingers like that. Asyulus: *Smirking* It seems like the three musketeers didn't perform as well as they thought. Maybe next time you think again before taking me out Rorschach: Oooh look at milk drinker here mocking us. At least we came out on top The Dark Alfred: *Snickering* Yeah and a fat lot of good that did you DAJK: Et,tu Judas. Anways who are you to talk about anything. We all know you've been riding coattails since day one. The Dark Alfred: *Defiant* Excuse me, I've been pulling my weight and making strategic moves. DAJK: Strategic moves? More like strategic mistakes. elcaballero: Can we focus on the bigger picture here? Like me Zeesoh: Thank you elcaballero for that. Before we proceed, DAJK how are you feeling about today's challenge. Has the competition taken the wind out of you or do you still have fight in you? DAJK: it's been an intense journey, but I'm here to fight and prove myself. Elcaballero: Well, DAJK, fighting might be a foreign concept to you. I haven't seen much action from you so far. DAJK: *Defiant* Oh yeah,, if you are so keen on fighting, perhaps you should step out of the shadows and show us what you're made of. Zeesoh: elcaballero you are slurring your speech. Are you feeling OK today? elcaballero: Yeah I am fine. I had a boost today thanks to a friend *elcaballero winks at The Dark Alfred, who quickly puts something out while muttering something about dropped blunts* Zeesoh: OK moving on then. Goldenhour36, you've done well in recent weeks, winning multiple times. Are you confident in your position? Goldenhour36: I've been playing this game with tact and unwavering loyalty. My position is rock solid. Rorschach: Loyalty, huh? It must be comforting to be a loyal soldier in someone else's game. Goldenhour36: At least I'm not flying under the radar, waiting for others to do the dirty work. Zeesoh: The Dark Alfred, what's your strategy to make it to the end? The Dark Aflred: Zeesoh, I've been observing, analyzing, and waiting for the perfect moment to make my move. Patience and strategy are key. Asylus: *Smirking* Ah, The Dark Alfred, the master observer. When will you actually start playing the game instead of just watching? The Dark Alfred: When the time is right. You'll see. *The contestants engage in a heated exchange of words, each defending and accusing each other* Zeesoh: Alright, it seems tensions are running high. so let's proceed to today's challenge to see who will survive and who will be eliminated. Please follow me to the challenge area *An icy arena with ice blocks for each contestants to stand on. Zeesoh takes position to the side* Zeesoh: Welcome, survivors, to the Ice Ball Dodge Challenge! In this challenge, you'll have to dodge the giant ice balls coming towards you. Failure to do so will result in elimination. Zeesoh: But before we begin I have a surprise announcement to make. There will be no votes tonight *All contestants look at the host excitedly hoping there will be no elimination today* Zeesoh: This is a straight elimination challenge. Whoever loses first gets eliminated. *Gasps* Zeesoh: Please take your positions. *elcaballero needing help to get on starting point* You sure you have not eaten or drunk anything today? elcaballero: Nah I am fine, just had a energy boosting drink earlier thanks to *points towards someone*. Maybe it's the jitters due to that. Zeesoh: Excellent! Let the challenge begin! *As the challenge commences, gigantic ice balls are released onto the arena. The contestants start jumping and dodging to avoid getting hit.* Rorschach: Keep moving, don't let them catch you DAJK! DAJK: Piece of cake! I've got this! Goldenhour36: Oh no, they're coming too fast! The Dark Alfred: Control your movements, find the gaps! *Contestants dodge and leap, narrowly avoiding the ice balls as they speed past.* Zeesoh: Impressive dodging skills, but be careful, the pace is picking up! Watch out! elcaballero: What's going on??? *elcaballero jumps at the ice ball rather than dodging away* Zeesoh: Ooh what was that? You seem out of your element, you were meant to avoid them not catch them. You have failed the challenge and unfortunately that means you are eliminated. Still you came this far and survived so many eliminations, that must count for something. Pack your bags and say goodbye. elcaballero: Yeah Zeesoh: Congratulations to the rest of you! You have survived yet another elimination, although this time it was due to elcaballero inexplicably taking himself out! Zeesoh: That's it from your guest host today. Enjoy the night contestants but prepare for next week because now there are only 6 of you left and the competition will grow fiercer as we move forward. Who will be the ultimate survivor? We will find soon. Goodnight! Post Tribal Council
  12. @elcaballero @DAJK @Fancyarcher @Asyulus @Goldenhour36 @SLAM! @The Dark Alfred @Rorschach {Scene: The contestants gather near a frozen course, ready for a new challenge. The Penguin King, stands at the starting line.] Asyulus: You know, guys, I can't believe we've made it this far. We've faced some intense challenges along the way. The Dark Alfred: *takes a long drag from a makeshift pipe* It's all about finding the right balance, my friend. Strategy and adaptability are key. And a little herbal inspiration doesn't hurt either. Rorschach: *sarcastically* Who needs immunity when you have sharp words? Confessional - elcaballero: I just hope I can stay on my feet long enough to prove myself. It's nerve-wracking, but I'm determined to show what I'm capable of. Fancyarcher: Keep dreaming, everyone. The throne is mine, and I won't let anyone take it away. Everyone: What are you doing here anyways? you are safe! Get Out! Confessional - DAJK: Fancyarcher has gotten way too cocky off late. It's time to knock someone off the perch. But first I must make sure I win immunity. Confessional - The Dark Alfred: Fancyarcher is very strong and has way too many coins. It's going to require a team effort to get rid of this menace Penguin King: Ahem Ahem! Welcome back, brave adventurers! I am sure you are excited and roaring to get started with the challenge. But first, I have a special surprise for you all. DAJK: I hope the surprise is that we can use our coins again. I was hoping to buy some items. I am not happy with the amount of votes I have been getting in the past few tribal councils Confessional - Rorschach: I hope what DAJK said is true. That milk chugging pretender Asyulus was gunning for my neck in the last tribal council. I wanna make sure I can survive if Asyulus is planning something again. elcaballero: Perhaps we are all immune and get a week off. I can use a break! Goldenhour36: Break! Heh I am just getting started Penguin King: Joining us as a guest host is none other than the current Survivor champion, ZeeSoh! ZeeSoh: Hey there, contestants! I'm thrilled to be here with all of you. After my stint in the Survivor Arena, I couldn't resist the chance to witness your icy exploits firsthand. Let's make this challenge legendary! Goldenhour36: Wow, the Penguin King and ZeeSoh? This is getting more exciting by the minute! I can't wait to show off my ice-hopping skills. Confessional - DAJK: I have a complicated friend and foe history with Zeesoh from previous seasons. This adds a whole new layer to the challenge. I'll need to strategize my moves both on and off the ice. [Penguin King steps aside as ZeeSoh takes center stage.] ZeeSoh: Thank you, Penguin King, for the warm introduction. Now, let's dive into today's challenge which is the Ice World Iceberg Hop challenge! You must hop across floating icebergs avoiding slippery surfaces and icy hazards while collecting items and try and get to the finish line first. [The contestants stand at the starting line, ZeeSoh by their side, ready to commence the challenge.] ZeeSoh: Prepare yourselves for a thrilling race across treacherous icebergs! On your marks... Get set... Go! [The race begins, and the contestants hop, slide, and navigate the icy obstacles, fueled by their determination and the cheering crowd.] Asyulus: *hopping with finesse* Gliding across these icebergs like a penguin on a mission! Keanu would be envious of my balance. I've got this! elcaballero: *nervously hopping and sliding* Whoa, almost lost my balance there! The slippery ice makes this adventure quite the thrill ride. Hang on, everyone! The Dark Alfred: quickly adjusting to a tilting iceberg Whoa, this one's a tricky fellow. DAJK: I feel as nimble as a Goomba with ice skates. Rorschach: Watch out! *Rorschach pulls DAJK and saves him from falling into crevice* DAJK: Thanks friend! Looks like my apology last weekend worked very well. *Asyulus throws a penguin at Rorschach* Asyulus: Hope the Penguin King did not see that, it could have been his nephew DAJK: Watch out for that sliding penguin Rorschach: Whoa, close call. *DAJK and Rorschach takes the early lead thanks to each other* ZeeSoh: This race is heating up, or should I say, freezing up! You're all doing a fantastic job. [As the contestants navigate the course, they encounter more obstacles, including slippery slopes, ice spikes and bouncing penguins.] Rorschach: Look out! there are ice spikes ahead DAJK: jumping over ice spikes Ice spikes? No problem! My struggles with morality have taught me how to dodge life's sharp edges. Watch me soar! *DAJK falls down the next instant as a snowball is hurled at him by The Dark Alfred.* The Dark Alfred: Sorry mate, but I need this win *Goldenhour36 elegantly slides around the obstacles* Goldenhour36: I never thought I'd be dodging bouncing penguins in a race. Talk about unexpected obstacles! Rorschach now leads the race by himself meanwhile Asyulus and elcaballero languish at the back [Race intensifies as the contestants reach the halfway point. Ice Mazes and tricky bridges awaits them] ZeeSoh: Look at them go! Hopping, sliding, and laughing their way through the Ice World! These survivors truly embody the spirit of the game. Asyulus: chugs a bottle of milk while navigating a maze like section Milk-powered agility will help get ahead of the pack. I'm the underdog on a mission! *Rorschach tries crossing a treacherous ice bridge. The Dark Alfred follows behind* Rorschach: Stop! The bridge can only take on 1 person The Dark Alfred: Hah! Nice try. But I am not gonna be fooled *An ice cold goomba lands on the bridge and it breaks apart, taking Rorschach and The Dark Alfred down with it* DAJK: Wow who did that *elcaballero chuckles nervously* Zeesoh: And now, the final stretch! The finish line is within reach. Keep pushing! *DAJK, Rorschach and Goldenhour36 leads with Asyulus, elcaballero and The Dark Alfred on their tails* Rorschach: Asyulus must not win this *throws a frozen milk bottle at Asyulus* Asyulus: Ooh energy booster! *crashes into an iceberg while trying to catch the bottle* Zeesoh: Ooh that looks nasty. And with that Asyulus is the first contestant to be out of the race elcaballero: I may be the clumsy one, but I won't let that stop me. I'll keep going, just like Mario after a stumble. *Frozen Thwomps lies ahead* The Dark Alfred: navigating through the level This challenge is all about efficiency. *elcaballero brushes into a thwomp and spirals out of control* elcaballero: OW! The Dark Alfred: Watch the master of strategy in action, my friends. Ill find a way through this elcaballero: Watch Out!! *crashes into The Dark Alfred* elcabellero: Oh I am soo sorry, your darkness The Dark Alfred: Haha, it's OK. Nothing that a drag won't fix Zeesoh: That is unfortunate! a crash this close to finish line means that both of them are out of the race DAJK, Goldenhour36 and Rorschach race towards the finish line which is in sight now, paying no attention to the mayhem behind Zeesoh: This is gonna be close. They are neck and neck! There is no strategy here, no use of power ups or items. All three are focused solely on the finish line Zeesoh: Unbelievable! We have a three-way tie! DAJK, Goldenhour36, and Rorschach, you've conquered the Ice World Iceberg Hop challenge with remarkable skill and determination. What a performance! DAJK: A three-way tie? Well, it seems the universe wants to keep the suspense going. Rorschach: Ah, the irony of a three-way tie in this icy race. I must say, it's a testament to our unmatched skills in... well, hopping on icebergs. Bravo, fellow competitors. Goldenhour36: So do all three of us win immunity? *DAJK, Rorschach looks excitedly at the host* elcaballero: oh this is not good. I do not want to go to tribal council with just 2 other contestants *The Dark Alfred offers elcaballero a joint* The Dark Alfred: Here mate, this'll help calm you down *elcaballero promptly drops it* elcaballero: hehe oops The Dark Alfred: *staring angrily* I hate you! Zeesoh: Well this is unprecedented and a bit out of my scope. Let's call the show runner Mr. Slam Miamoto! Zeesoh: And there you have it folks. No one wins immunity this weekend. Which means all of you, except fancyarcher, must participate in the tribal council. Goldenhour36: This is some bullshit man. I worked so hard DAJK: Yeah what the hell! All that for nothing. Rorschach: The game is rigged man. I am telling you Asyulus: *chuckling* Thats what you get for taking me out *Meanwhile The Dark Alfred and elcaballero are on the floor laughing* Zeesoh: Such is the nature of this game my friends. It throws unexpected curveballs at you. Anyways thats it for tonight. Go and rest for the tribal council. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  14. I don't even know what is going on right now lol. See your original point was that Steel should not be called a CBM. And I was arguing that it is a CBM movie regardless of any qualifiers like TC and what not.
  15. It is a Comic Book Movie because it is based on a comic book. How many theatres it opened in or what position it debuted at is irrelevant. You can argue however that the movie is irrelevant in current CBM movie era or that it should not count because it is only very loosely based on a comic book of the same name. But TC’s and debut position being used as disqualifiers does not make sense.
  16. Highely unlikely it breaks the record for a CBM movie as that belongs to Steel with a drop of 78% The record for biggest drop for a 50m plus opener and for a movie in 4000 plus theatres rests with Fifty Shades and Morbius respectively with their 73.9% and 73.8% drops. So Flash is gonna require a 74% drop to beat that. I am a bit iffy on that as right now I see it being around a 73% drop.
  17. IKR! Except for a few expected names on that list (BvS, Dark Phoenix for example), most are from the past 2 years.
  18. -81.35% from OD. For comparison here are some second Friday drops for selected SH movies with 2nd weekend drops in bracket Morbius - 83.3% (73.8%) Dark Phoenix - 83% (71.5%) Ant Man 3 - 82.1% (69.9%) BvS - 81.6% (69.1%) The Flash - 81.35% Doctor Strange: MOM - 81.1% (67%) Thor Love and Thunder - 80.2% (67.7%) Suicide Squad - 79.8% (67.4%) Shazam 2 - 79.7% (69%) Fant4Stic - 78,2% (68.2%) Flash will likely have a drop in the 70's rather than high 60's as compared to its neighbours above because it will not have as big of a jump on Satuday compared to many others on the list due to it being summer. I am thinking 4.5, 5.85, 4.56 for around 14.91m (-73%)
  19. 275-300 imo. Ant Man 3 and Shazam 2 legs gets it to 265-270m. So even if it has better legs than that it will still barely get to 300. If it runs like Black ADam then it clears 350m but I dont think thats gonna happen
  20. Well good news in the sense that it can avoid going under 250m without any competition next week. If it had some strong competition then I would have entertained that possibility. Right now I am seeing it in the 275-300 range.
  21. So Ant Man 3 and Shazam 2 multipliers gets Flash to only 265-270m WW. It will barely scrape by 300m if it manages Eternals multiplier. Even with Black Adam multiplier it will fall short of Shazam 1 and Black Adam. It should get to 250m at least lol Good news for it is that it has a whole weekend to itself otherwise the collapse would have been spectacular.
