  1. That Saturday number if it sticks is sooo bad. But luckily for the Flash, Fathers day and Monday being a semi holiday precludes it from dropping into the 40's range for OW.
  2. Jurassic World - 440 pages Avengers Endgame - 397 pages (has the most views though) The Dark Knight Rises - 386 pages Han Solo - 375 pages Transformers 4 - 374 pages Hunger Games: Catching Fire - 370 pages Infinity War - 369 pages BvS - 373 pages Jurassic World has the longest 2nd and 3rd weekend threads at 311 and 167 pages respectively. Although JW had the assist of Inside Out in its 2nd weekend. Rogue One Christmas weekdays thread is the longest weekdays thread with 161 pages. PS: page numbers may be lower for users as they cannot see hidden posts. You can check the threads here at - https://forums.boxofficetheory.com/forum/76-numbers-and-data/?sortby=posts&sortdirection=desc
  3. My post was specifically in response to a post that is now hidden. But as XXR said those discussions can be had in their individual threads as long as the discussions are relevant and civil.
  4. Moderation: Please refrain from left/right nonsense in this thread (and preferably any other thread). Thanks
  5. Because the decision to run such a contest is not a site wide decision, it is upto individual staff if they want to run it or not since they will be the one to contribute funds to the forums in lieu of the winner. Technically anyone, even a non staff member, can run such a contest if they are willing to contribute the cost of the membership to the forums.
  6. Moderation: While not against the rules it would still be preferable that people stick to posting reaction from critics (whether RT approved or not) only. Otherwise the forums would be inundated by tweets from random people. If you must insist on posting random reactions at least do so in spoiler tags so that the page is not too long and is easier to load.
  7. Updated - Killbill banned for being an alt account of Wesley/mredman/svenson/etc
  8. Updated - Jeight permanently banned for creating an alt account (saicoltrane) for circumventing a suspension.
  9. That data is simply for the preview and even then there is a huge difference depending on the comps being used with one pointing out to less than 7 and another in the 16's. Best thing to do would be take an average of all the comps by all the users tracking it and see where that points. I believe @M37 has excellent chart and table posted in this thread which does just that. But getting a preview range is just half the picture, the other half depends on its preview to OW multiplier. Since it is summer and its CBM the multiplier is likely to be low, in the 6-7 range I think. But overall yeah I think 65-85 range seems very likely atm.
  10. Moderation: Please drop the Mena Masoud conversation, it's not leading to anything productive and people are just getting upset over it. You can still compare Aladdin and TLM though, but who said what and what is racist and not is pointless. Thanks
  11. Updated: Wesley banned for being alt account of mredmad/svenson/quake/mitchelsilver/etc
  12. But audiences largely liked it though. And Sony can schedule it to release after the next Spidey movie (or Avengers movie). If they can keep the budget low they can easily make a tidy but small profit
  13. He is doing that Fred Astaire thing, which seems well suited for him. I wonder whats the status on that. Last I heard was that it had found a director but that was 3-4 months ago.
  14. Moderation: Please stay civil in your conversations folks. These posts on relevance seems to be riling people up. @ZattMurdock it is ok to have tangential discussions (or even off topic discussions) in the weekend thread. If you dislike a certain topic, avoid it. Or report it if you think it breaks forum rules. There is no reason to go around calling people incel and what not.
  15. 5b is too much imo but Sony will not let it go for that much seeing that Spiderman (and villains) movies are pretty much all they have going for them atm. Disney also wouldnt pay that much, at least for now, considering the billions in write offs they have had to endure recently for streaming. Besides merchandise is where the real money is and Disney holds the rights for that.
