  1. Because its not even new material, it two previoulsy aired episodes from last year with just 3 minutes of footage from season 5 that you can easily wait til HBO put it online. Hence the surprise. I do wonder if this is some sort of test to see if after 7 or 8 seasons WB and HBO can wrap the show with a theatrical movie, or maybe a Robert Rebellion movie. Either idea would be fantastic.
  2. Holy shit...Maleficent is going down (in dollars of course)
  3. American Sniper opened in Venezuela this weekend, its doing pretty good for the type of movie it is.

  6. Just finish KFP 3 and Dragon 3... after that DreamWorks have my permission to die.
  7. Calculating the ticket prices is a little bit tricky here because you have to take into account the normal prices, the 3D prices, the premium theatres prices and the really expensive 4DX prices and the discount days (50% off mondays and 30% off thursdays). Some movies will get higher dollars revenue but lower tickets sold because of the premium prices and some will get high attendance but low dollar revenue because of lack of 3D and 4DX prices and the high traffic during discount days (specially monday). Of course movies like Night at the Museum get in all kinds of theatres given the demand of family movies like that so its attendance should give us the closest average ticket price. Anyway, numbers should be ready by monday night or tuesday afternoon.

  10. Well, the competition of Frozen was not as strong as the one BH6 is having: the Hobbit finale, Paddington (big family movie here), Exodus, Fury, Tinkerbell etc. And still n1 agaisnt all those movies is quite a remarkable feat. That is why I think is doing way better than Frozen at the moment.
  11. Damn I wish I could have the numbers to see if this is surpassing Maleficent!!
  12. Guys this the venezuelan box office topic not the homicide rate topic... If you are gonna talk about that subject matter please discuss it at the Politics section of the Forums.
  13. Seriously what the fuck happened to BOM? That website is not the same without the OS numbers
  14. Depends on what kind of theatres you go to but yes, generally speaking It is really expensive... In fact every single thing in this country is expensive... even breakfast and a cup of coffee...*trying not to cry* Anyway, am Glad to see Big Hero 6 doing well here but I am not surprised since venezuelan audiences are incredibly loyal to everything Disney-related (Marvel included)
  15. This guy relly needs to get the fuck out of this country before the bloodbath satrs, what happened in febraury 2014 was just the begginning but that is another topic... I dont have the data because BOM has not updated a long time but I can tell you one thing.. Mockingjay Part I is blowing the shit out the competition, its been seven seven weeks and that movie is still high in the top 5 and in the conversation with a lot of people as well. Why you may ask? Well its not that diffcult to respond... Hunger Games is the perfect metaphore for whats sadly going on in Venezuela and people has responded strongly to that. In fact back in the riots of febraury some students protesters actually took the mockingjay simbol and painted it with the colors of the Venezuelan flag! Crazy shit right?
  16. Did BOM stopped updating International numbers? They have not updated since Nov 16.
  17. Boy what a tragic ending... but Nucky had it coming all this time. I am gonna miss this show.
  18. Ah cool thanks. Well Annabelle dropped as much as it increased last weekend it seems. And The Conjuring´s $3.6 million is done already. This movie still has a lot of tank in the gas so anything over $6 million will be amazing. Hercules also had a pretty good OW thanks to the star power of Dwayne Johnson. WOM will tell if this movie gets anywhere over $3 million witch seems like a reasonable number at this point. As I expected Maze Runner was greatly backloaded because of the sudden release date and now its getting legs. Just like Hercules, it will depend on the reception of the movie wheater or not Maze Runner can get to $4 million if the fan base is as rabid as The Hunger Games fanbase (wich by the way, its destroying the presales numbers as we speak). The Equalizer also had a very good weekend drop, despite so much competition. WOM is very good, Denzel Washington is apparently has a lot of star power here so I can see The Equalizer getting a $3.5 million total. And finnaly Misuscule, is a french animated movie that was delayed a lot until it finally got a wide release. And just like Nut Job I am very surprised a movie like this got this good of an OW, even with the animation craze in this market and all. Think about it, its just a bunch of ants looking for food and they dont even talk at all. Lets see if the momentum doesnt die off fast like Boxtrolls did, or Book Of Life kills it next weekend.
