People have literally posted that exact thing, if not in this thread, in one of the BVS ones.
They are idiots then. Who cares what they think?

Not to mention there are plenty of us not in the marvel DC war that just don't like this project.

You knew this was coming Tele.
Marvel vs DC is the biggest war going on nowadays. This movie is the peak of DC and the start of their mega Universe. Plus people love to see other people losing their jobs and hope for the worst.
Lol dude you are way over dramatic. People love to see others losing jobs because they don't like a movie? Please.

Anyone want to take a shot at adjusting TDK midnights with much larger IMAX share + 3D + showings actually before 12:01am? Probably pretty close to BvS.

it's not a great number. I am sorry. Considering Good Friday and earlier showtimes it should have been higher. For any other film this number would be great but for a movie like this that features Superman and Batman together for the first time, it should be destroying.
Plus people have predictions/clubs too. It's hilarious some are being shamed if they call it a weak number. Lol.

Weekend or total? Weekend adjusts with inflation to $180m without 3D and probably around $200m with 3D. Total is already $448m without any adjustment. I give BvS movie very little chance to hit $400m, never mind getting close to $450m...and forget about the non-3D inflation total of $500m.
Just talking about OW obviously. Total was always too far to reach.

Not to mention there were fewer than 100 IMAX sites at the time and pretty much no PLF. There are now 390 IMAX screens and 470 PLF screens.
Even TDKr adjusted looks tough to beat at this point.

Hilarious @Baumer freak out, what else did you expect? Also it isn't doing $200m+ anymore sorry to break your rant(s).
-
Compared to expectations that's an alright #, not great but not bad either. Glad to see TDKr OW & under $375m total are still in play.

Just got out, not particularly happy about it. It's a jumbled mess, too many storylines. Editing is all over the place as well. Honestly, BvS easily could have split into 2 movies. Batman is easily the best part of the movie while Superman the worst. Brutal and efficient nature of Batman fighting style was impressive. Affleck was great, no question about it. Now to Superman, smfh, Snyder can screw himself with that portrayal. I don't want give details but if you're a Superman fan you're going to be disappointed. Gal is fine as WW. Overall, 5.5/10 maybe 6 but that's being generous. Snyder needs to gtfo off of JL.
Is Affleck better than Bale if you had to choose one?

MOS is more a film your watching and hope gets better and you think its getting better but it doesn't.
It starts off strong and gets worse.
My favorite scene is the Russell Crowe voiceover right as he's about to fly, so much hope from that point. Then much like Superman himself, it crashes into a mountain.

Yep, your single theater is 100% representative of every metropolitan area in North America.
It's true.
All of it.

A friend of mine texted me just now that he is waiting in the theater for the 9:30 show and he said he heard the people behind him talking about how they heard it has got such bad reviews, and that the atmosphere is the exact opposite of The Force Awakens. lol ouch.
TFA reviews were good but Batman is no Star Wars. I think you'd agree people would show up like crazy for midnights even if it was 5% on RT.

Good decision. The board have been toxic these last few days, people are acting too childish over this. It's been embarrassing.
From the guy that just said this...

Oh the irony.

btw, I'm doing a preliminary sellout count before I head to off to the theater later (I'll post final numbers late tonight)... but walkups look strong. Theaters filling fast, sellouts coming as well.
My local IMAX still has seats available for a 7pm PST showing, wasn't expecting that.

To explain it easier, I wanted to bet against BvS through their parent company Time Warner and some ahole with a lot of money jumped right in front of my price thus driving down their stock (upping the cost of the options I wanted).

Any of you guys understand the concept of front running in trading? Essentially it means a broker or market mover has information from pending orders & acts on that before the client gets a chance to have their price executed.
The reason I bring this up is I had a limit order in to short Time Warner (WB's parent) on a specific options strike to try and make $ on the potential BvS under performance most of the day. Right as my price was about to be executed before the close a trader came in and spent millions! on the same strike basically making the same short term play I was going to only pennies higher and that tanked the stock (by association dramatically raising the cost of those options.
UGH I'm so tilted, now I'm sort of rooting for BvS not to tank or hopefully if it does it's already priced into the stock. Seemed like a great risk/reward.
