I don't like OotP, I hate HBP, and I'm not big on DH2, but I love DH1
I think DH1 is really overrated on here from the HP diehards, it's alright. The fact that you hate HBP, meh on DH2 implies you aren't huge on Yates either. WB still was printing $ throughout & has continued to with all the rights associated to the projects.

Most of the Potters are horrible as well.
Thats @Noctis bait! But seriously there are a few quality films in there. Azkaban is the best by a long way.

Batman and Robin is A+ material. The Batnipples is like the godfather of all WTFuckery tidbits exist in the following SH movies.
&bat asses, not to mention the worst dialogue you'll ever hear.

The instant labeling of 'trolls' 'haters' 'this and that-biased' soon as people say things you don't like has gotta be the most annoying thing for me about our forum.
Seriously, some of ya'll should learn to chill.
I found out this weekend that we are apparently supposed to root for all projects, SUPPORT THE INDUSTRY OR YOU ARE A TROLL/HATER.

This will fly past 1B. Are people actually thinking this will have less than a 2.35x multi, especially with the Easter holidays coming up?
Easter is today James...

Lol at the revisionist history from some on here, $170m is obviously a fine number but a bunch of you had it a lot higher compared to lower. Facts suck don't they.

I think has been an emoticon longer than his actual presidential bid lasted.
Maybe time to retire him?
He represents all that this election wasn't. I say we keep him, love using the Jeb!

I don't care if anybody cares, it just put things in perspective, it shows the difference between winners and losers.
Pretty sure he's a "winner" regardless whether any movie he directs in the future makes any money.

I wonder how much money God Snyder will receive to direct Justice League while the haters keep moaning about it.
Who cares how much he makes? I always find this argument amusing. Not like by being on his "side" you benefit from it at all.

I'm not the poster you quoted but, it's far from non-sensical. In fact, Batman v Superman is the worst-reviewed tentpole movie since Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
Negative word of mouth is in effect, it just doesn't show on opening day, which leads us to...
Opening day is literally the only day in a movie's box office run that a movie is immune to word of mouth.
That's your perception of things. I'm here to discuss box office, not "get excited and root for things to do well". I don't care if a movie I don't like doesn't make loads of money.
If this squelched everyone's opinions, I'd be sure to get the hell out of here as quickly as you can say "Batman".
Thanks for saving me the energy!

@Noctis we all know how thrilled you will be if this unadjusted fails to beat potter 8. It's looking like a good sweat.

Today's number is way more fascinating than OD, getting us a lot closer to narrowing the range. We all know it's dropping a decent amount but how much? My guess for OW is right below $170m.

If the franchises start at a high mark it makes sense, but Divergent was never a box office behemoth, making the split decision more stupid.
More times than not (actually most) it's more profitable to shoot two movies as one & then just reap the profits for these big blockbusters agree?

Looks like Harry Potter: DH2 will still remain the highest grossing WB-movie, WW-wise. It's gonna take another mega-blockbuster from WB, to top Potter.
@Noctis will be overjoyed .

It's not even remotely close to trying to be a decent demographic representation of national movie-going audiences. They don't even make sure they use theaters from every major region.
Letter grades as data are notoriously upside biased. The accuracy is really suspect.

Not sure about that. THG made $10m in IMAX on opening weekend. Probably had a decent amount of PLF too. No 3D boost though.
I'm not saying it did, I'm saying it's possible given how close it is to DMC on that list. Although there is no ? DMC sold more tickets than THG.
