  1. Interesting results from the FSM poll regarding 2012 film scores. The Hobbit and Lincoln are neck and neck at the top with over 100 votes, while Skyfall is in third place and is followed by TDKR, Dark Shadows, and TASM. John Carter and TA are the only other two making any kind of impression.

Loving the Real Steel and Williams love. Though they normally go nuts for Desplat and not nominating Doyle for composer of the year is laughable.
  3. It's not hurting at all, but it's not going to in any way affect the movie itself. It's completely irrelevant and I intend to treat it as such. Especially if they keep seeking absolute crap like Taylor Swift.
  4. Even if it is different, though I suspect that the already available songs will pour in soon enough, I still don't get it. There's no creative reason to do this album, they're just trying to cash in on the name in every way they can.
  5. I've never saw any purpose whatsoever to these albums. Adding a bunch of songs, most of which are readily available and have been for years, together is a blatant cash grab if there ever was one. And 9/10 times they bear no significance whatsoever. I could easily take ten songs from my iPod which could easily be linked to THG in a very contrived way, inevitably like most of the songs on this album.I'll be sticking with JNH's score only.
  6. Gets a bad rep for not featuring Jason as the killer, but IMO it's probably better than all the movies that followed. The atmosphere is enjoyably sleazy which is probably due to being directed by a porn director. Love Manfredini's score for this one.
  7. Dark and brutal. Love the prologue and the main titles. The characters are the most likable of the series and Ted White is very menacing as Jason.
  8. This movie needs you to completely dispend belief. You have to buy that charactes can't see Jason when he's standing one foot directly ahead and you have to buy that a woman can mistake the 6ft Jason for her short and chubby husband. If you can, there's a lot of fun to be had here.
  9. Tied with the fourth as my favourite in the series. Really creepy atmosphere in this one.
  10. Catching Fire > Mockingjay > The Hunger Games
  11. I went for CF too but I really could go for either one depending on my mood.
  12. 1. The Hunger Games2. Dark Shadows3. Frankenweenie4. The Avengers5. The Dark Knight Rises6. Brave7. Prometheus8. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter9. Gravity10. World War Z
  13. For such a disturbing and interesting real life event this movie is suprisingly unevocative.Renner is indeed pretty great though.
  14. I don't know. The main characters are all around 16 or are 60 odd and look 16.Here's a nifty trailer for the book btw.
  15. I wouldn't call it horror at all, it just can get a little unsettling. I don't use Kindle either, just doesn't feel right not having the book in my hands.
  16. There's only one book so far but a sequel is on the way. It's a young adult fantasy/Sci-Fi novel half set in modern day, half set in WWII. I don't know if I'd compare it to anything else I've read. The book is littered with really disturbing photographs too.
  17. Directed by Tim Burton, screenplay by Jane Goldman and based on the crazy popular YA novel 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' by Ransom Riggs.
