  1. thanks for giving that name, so I wont waste neither a click nor my time Your reaction was very insightful, I guess we have a 90% + overlap I feel they tried successfully to do something else, in details at least something new, still being obviously part of the whole. It‘s not my personal #1 in the MCU, but I feel its a very good change of media/pace/... even genre mix. The bad one was a bit one sided, but see ‚conflict‘ I do not feel like he was needed to be more, the conflict was in part within Wanda herself, she was ~ breaking before and still, that alone in that setting would have been enough ‚conflict‘ IMHO, not every ‚conflict‘ has to be a clear formulated, fought over one. That is the beauty of a mini-series, there is time for going into what might be inside the head, the changes too. Monica I‘d too would have loved to see more, but I understand she was not a WandaVision & Monica character, it wetted my appetite for more about her, but think it could have been a bit better done. What might be a reason is maybe the same as it was with Captain Marvel in Endgame, being cautious in how to present her to not create her too strongly for possible changes/needs in the CM 2 movie. As I was thinking about that before WandaVision started, like curious if she will be more than a cameo to not limit her creation for the director of CM 2 I am actually more happy for now than not happy (like 2 parts out of 3?). (edit: I do care about the kids, as I have not read it, no idea why that might be in question) Where I do not overlap (if that is the term): The fight against Agatha: earnest question, what was confusing about that?
  2. I think its not a good idea to link to an external review ... at patreon without even give additional input who (recognized reviewer or average person) nor the gist of it (the main points as an example) As it is I see it as click-bait to a click collector
  3. I have a slightly other ranking it seems. It varies, depends also sometimes on a bit of time to digest. I do groups, within the group in no particular order Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Avengers 1 (that I hold dear for being the one tying the preexisting styles/stories/characters/... together, a thing that I think still gets dismissed a lot at BOT), Guardians of the Galaxy 1, Dr Strange, Captain America 2, Thor 3 Ant-Man 1, Thor 1, Captain America 3, Avengers 3, Avengers 4, WandaVision Iron Man 1, Ant-Man 2 IHulk Guardians of the Galaxy 2 at least 2 steps in between, to show there is a lot of space in between. Can‘t stand: Iron Man 2, and Iron Man 3, and neither big parts of Thor 2, no interest to rewatch any of those. Ever. Can’t stand the character of Iron Man in general. First movie opened a possibility that went down fast. Can’t stand ‘Starlord’ neither, in part 1 a possibility again, went down in a big way in the second part, tendency worsening, see other appearances. Never was a fan of Vision, nor War Machine (maybe bcs too near to Iron Man ?), War Machine tendency upwards. In the case of WandaVision I feel uncomfortable also bcs the in my POV way to huge age difference between the actress and the actor (I think its 18y, in a way a generation, creepy like hell in my POV), was probably a co-reason with not being a fan of sit-coms (nor any comedy) it ended a step lower than it might have otherwise I do like all other characters on the positive side of the MCU, all females in especial, but also all males beside the listed. Might have forgotten someone. Zero interest into any Spider-Man, the character’s problems, focus, interests into... is way too young for my interests. That counts for all of those movies, including outside of the MCU. I have major problems to categorize Captain America 1, I understand the intent, I feel like the theme/idea given to the director was a good one for the character then, but as a German I am so over the cardboard presentation of Germans... Also other details I do not like as much. Not a movie for me to rewatch, I might if someone I know wants to watch it with me. Avengers 4 has big parts I do not like (or feel were done unequal), other parts like appearances of help... action... counter that so it just remains in that group instead of one lower.
  4. The book has a surprisingly lengthy Wikipedia entry in English, and Spanish. Was surprised to learn it even has one https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darkhold
  5. Another connection to a name I feel rather often now appears a lot of times and stories / connections around him and/or that book
  6. Agree to a lot what here was said out of the positive reactions (of you and the others), in especially the bold parts I give a big fat thumbs up. About Agnes: about the future: Last: I‘d like to know where they did film the very last scene, if existing in RL
  7. In my POV she is still too young Its time for Hollywood to pick at least in historical figures a more matching age, she was 6y older in age, also went through some harder times before him, see financial hardship being the reasons she got married the first time, her being not executed (and freed from prison) too only bcs Robespierre gotten overthrown... Her family-in-law not liking her and so on... I remember letters about her gotten ‘old’ over the divorce too. Not young, she was experienced in lots of themes, including male relationships, art,... the ‘air’ of someone who ‘lived’, always needed money (a lot),... no peacefull inner resting person. Not sure if I found the right terms.
  8. Forgot about The Duel, and as I am a face-blind I didn‘t realize at once her being wayyyy too young for The Duellists (1977), starting to try to remember if there was a child included I might have forgotten. One of the early projects Pete Postlethwaite, who was one of my favorite actors, was casted in in a small role, hence a bit stronger in the forefront of my brain 🤪 (someone a child in 1977 would be far more matching for playing her also)
  9. I do understand the meaning, but not the enthusiasm so many seem to share for a cinnamon roll (to eat) in general. I do use cinnamon to cook, in especial for very old recipes (eg hot / cooked meat... see medieval times recipes), but am not that much into sweet baked things, probably why I do not click with that. Lethal Weapon vibe ... thought similar, roles exchanged. A bit 48h too? One snarky motor mouth, the other ....
  10. Agree, but I am a fan of rather in-depth, complex stories. I actually do a repeat of the unabridged version of The count of Monte Cristo, this time as a 57h audio version (but love the Penguin Classics written version just as much). So for me its all about give more detail, depth, background, feel often its way too few given, and jump on all that seems to be ‘more’. I think that is a big part of why I like the MCU so far.

  12. usually not that much into those kind of interviews, but that one seems to have a rather nice interviewer and so it feels less ‘forced’ like the usual ones
  13. I actually can imagine him binding his arm in an unmovable/uncomfortable way to his body for a longer time to get a feel for it. Every time I see the pictures of The Machinist (2004) and Batman Begins (2005) and... side by side I can believe a lot about him prepare eg for a role or similar
  14. already 76 votes at IMDb. 3 of those 1 star... just for fun and to compare to later spreads of different ratings (never seen that much empty space in between the ratings): 76 IMDb users have given a weighted average vote of 9.5 / 10 Rating Votes 10 89.5% 68 9 5.3% 4 8 0 7 0 6 0 5 0 4 0 3 0 2 1.3% 1 1 3.9% 3 Arithmetic mean = 9.5 Median = 10 Rating By Demographic All Ages <18 18-29 30-44 45+ All 9.5 76 - 9.6 14 10.0 4 10.0 1 Males 9.8 22 - 9.6 13 10.0 4 10.0 1 Females 10.0 1 - 10.0 1 - - Top 1000 Voters US Users Non-US Users 9.0 1 9.3 6 10.0 7
