  1. The moment you past something you see that detail, so that reasoning does not count in my opinion I have no problem with people not liking something, just with one sided presentation. I didn’t like some episodes neither, but feel the reactions of some based on the finale as they miss something - in a big way even, or are still too hang up on traditional limited to eg movie trilogy story-telling ways. About what you picked to show unhappy reactions: to me its not a finale of the character, all here know the character and the MCU will continue, even looking like there is a possibility for it being told in a big way in the next Dr Strange movie (but probably even more so after that one) Out of the realization the MCU uses a complete other ‘system’ to tell a story than IMHO all other stories shown on screen (but not that different to eg crossover comic book events, or book series with side stories telling stories of others for a time, and than coming together again and again....) for me something like a movie or mini series focused on a character within the MCU is more like a chapter (which tell a part of the big mosaic out of the POV of character xy in a way) out of Game of Thrones, not like it has to have all solutions per the finale of a movie 3-parter or in this case, the last part of a mini-series. It does not need to follow the act 1, 2, 3 rule, see eg movies, of within a mini-series.... If at all, the character is in my POV with that mini series somewhere between act one (her intro and the relationship with Vision being only a scratch on her surface) and two or maybe within act two, if someone wants to use that kind of categorization. I also feel like there was not really one there able to even try to stop her, no one of rank high enough to order others to try. In a way not unrealistic in how they chose to do this, their boss is in handcuffs, people are still trying to figure out what happened and who is involved in what agenda... That the 3 fighting against the Sword leader didn’t try is also more realistic for that first hour after the fight, and earnestly, who should have stopped her? They all just saw what she is able of. Could the show-makers have chosen to create a more typical finale per eg pulling in some big gun who might have tried? It was a possibility, but in my POV not a ‘it has to be done’ possibility, see the story of the character continues, consequences or other impacts into her mind or for her as person we will see later in whatever way. So she went on to self-isolate to learn, the people of authority at that village are cleaning up the mess, sorting out how to get lets say 3000 people to where they belong, and the real high ups will have to get briefed and find a way to digest it. Its something I even often miss at other movies, series,... like eg the more time allowing for steps no unprepared government is able to handle within a day like too often shown, the finality of a film ending leaving either to an too abrupt end, am too over the top end, or a way too many details leaving open end just for having (or being able) to end a movie in a traditional way In the end I understand people feeling like there is something missing in that finale, but feel like they are missing it is not a finale of act three.
  2. How about to find a font that is as big as a skyscraper (sarcastic) In general reactions are great, no need to ‘enhance’ someone’s not happy reaction per a way oversized font in my opinion At RT even the series’ finale got an 86% (the whole series is at 91%) At Imdb the finale is at 8.5, the series in it’s sum at 8.2 ’nuff said
  3. Only found ‘first reactions are in’ article at RT https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/the-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier-first-reactions-high-flying-movie-level-action-and-grounded-performances-lift-up-marvels-next-disney-series/
  4. totally agree My part was not meant as in either this or only that. I meant the complexity of the story, but also the getting together of the solo characters, them all have their own films too, added depth, and might have given to some early on the feel its a bit like (based maybe on the time allowed to develop some of the characters) in a tv-series, where the arcs are sometimes focused on a single member of a team, even if often only to a degree. As it was then even newer as a concept than today, the people being then even less used to it, and people tending to pick comparisons to details they are familiar with, I can understand the then idea of it being in a way similar to tv-series, even if many of those using that comparison did use it as a point to criticizes it, like its less. As the whole grew more and more, the possibilities also opened up, see instead or in addition to big movies to introduce a character they can now, at least to,a,degree introduce them in eg mini-series, and pick later on a character or ten to develop their own movies, or exchange characters from one sub-world to another, see eg Thor and GotG meeting and so on. In theory at least they can reduce a lot of origin story movies and jump more direct to the typical part 2 stories (I often prefer the origin stories, not meant as a devaluation, only added it as some here seem to prefer the parts after the origin movie over the usual part 1) Nothing is more worth than the other as long as the story is told is a good ome and told in the complexity needed/preferred... in my POV
  5. There was then quite some criticism as they began with the MCU, including Avengers 1... it being like a tv-movie, not “cinematic’ enough, also during phase one it got s]described as a tv-series too (felt like criticism by fans of a certain non-Marvel trilogy in big parts, but a smaller part seemed to seriously felt like that). Maybe they felt like that too based on the possibility to do them as eg tv-miniseries too? The tons of hints of the possibilities to show more, and in especially more to add depth? Maybe something in that multi-connections style invites the possibility of making them / adding to the whole... to a tv-series, or tv-mini-series?
  6. in part bitter reactions under that What will that be about? Here is still lockdown, but we might not have curfew starting tonight or in 3 days (depends on how ... those rule immediately after reaching that kind of number, or only it will change after 3 days in the same Inzidenz-rule group they do for certain things) = no cinemas still 😕😢😕
  7. As he already played Malcom X, and Barak Obama, also Tristan of Arthur’s knights (and a couple of Shakespearean roles).... whom he play next? As in jokingly meant, but who knows....
  8. RIP Cliff Simon died last Tuesday in a kiteboarding accident Stargate viewers will know him as Ba’al https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0800101/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Simon
  9. maybe a kind of mix of those 2, like the ‚bad‘ joke name being a badly chosen witness protection alias? Not seriously a theory of mine, more of a spontaneous idea springing out of reading this.
  10. fingers crossed they‘ll upload it here too (just checked, still not here, searched within Marvel Tab, per search function, new at... and so on)
  11. Legends has 2 ‚new‘ clips for now also Zemo, and Sharon Carter in preparation for falcon & Winter Soldier, that makes it 4 for this, amd 2 for WandaVision
  12. Here its not allowed beside this exception: 12y movies can be (and that is the sole exception, does not count for any other age restriction here) seen by a at least 6y old, if accompanied by a parent who is also the legal parent (eg a divorce can exclude a parent from having the say for upbringing questions, forgot the English term) AND the cinema even offers that (depends eg for some cinemas on the movie, is it considered just 12y old near to the higher limit or is it just 12y because it failed the 6y old limit, some cinemas never allow it) Here not even a legal parent can take his/her child into a cinema for a not matching age restriction. The parent and the cinema have to pay 1000,-€ both (first time breaking the rule) In my media subject I use clips... I always have to make sure there is no wrong age material shown to a too young for it pupil, as it is school I‘d even end before a judge.
  13. I think its here the same. For movies, not sure about eg game trailer shown in a cinema. But also on a disc.... if there is even only one second/moment/picture... eg in the behind the scene material that is for older viewers as the movie itself then the DVD/Blu-Ray has to get the older age restriction of the additional material. All audience here means the existing ~ 0 years to 5y, in that case a movie for 6y old or even a clip of the material for 6y can not be shown, it has to be explicit considered suitable for eg a 3y old to count as for all audience. (if that wording makes sense, something feels wrong)
  14. it is in the US allowed to show trailers for eg 17y olds before a movie for eg 4y old?
  15. I am one of those who really want to see Black Widow as fast as possible. But as i often watch genre movies alone or with my adult son, not even in pre-virus times I’d pay for someone else (eg in the case someone else wants to accompany us its self-payers, and also usually only after a movie is out for a time... ) = I wont pay more for an access on a monitor, silver screen, ipad, or laptop than I‘ll have to pay for 2 adults in a cinema. I also wont pay the equivalent of eg 3D... means here at a reasonable time during the first week of release I pay 8.5-9€ per adult ticket for eg an MCU movie, 2 tickets 17-18€ = that is the max I‘d pay for premier access, still feeling like its a bit too much considering its not a buy nor a cinema experience. If it would be a high price with a considerable part going into a cinema supporting pot during their lockdowns, with being made clear the high price will not be the new normal, that would be something else, then I‘d pay gladly a price that high. Then it would be a justifiably reason, something ‘there’.
  16. THX, I had an inkling that it might have been so, maybe I read it, maybe I felt its a probable thing for Trump, or...? I do not follow (do not agree) her reasoning, but am not surprised at all to see it getting it put to court to get to put down by Trump‘s ‚people‘. Maybe the studios even want some of the cinemas - who are actually struggle - to buy Eg to have own cinemas in the parks/lands/... of not only Disney will not be enough for reaching not-fans
  17. In the US there is a law against studios ownimg cinemas (excluding a few exceptioms) At least there was ome in the past, maybe it run out? To get new customers, young,... I feel like the experience in a theater/cinema makes it often more impacting, more focused in especial for young viewers, to develop their first fandoms... (and 20/30y later nostalgia.... too). So to let the cinemas die (and a big part in especial non big-city regions would with those kind of business) seems a bit short sighted.
  18. you are aware about eg in some rural-ish regions all cinemas in a considerable radius can belong to either the same company or the same ‚work-together‘ grouping of companies? I had in the past more than once to drive to my state‘s capitol to get to see a certain move based on that, that means for me a half day lost for watching one movie. I very rarely have a half day time to spend in one row....
