Wow. What a phenomenal performance.

Last weekend the Saturday increases were muted for all movies i.e increases in 20s and 30s. This weekend Saturday increases are in the 30s, 40s and even 50s. Any reasons for this?

Yep. Probably can be ranked 9 out of his 10 movies.

For someone like me, who grew up on War and Battle comics in my teen years and reruns of great movies like Guns of Navarone, The Great Escape, Where Eagles Dare and great movies of the modern era like Platoon, Saving Private Ryan etc, this movie is a disappointment. Nolan was able to desensitize me to the point that I did not care about the characters of a war movie. The Cinematography and sound design are stunning. The rest is a big meh. Rating: C-/D+

It is obvious that his box office know how is very limited based on his assessment of SMH final total.

+1 Spiderman is a powerhouse merchandise seller. SMH makes Spiderman relevant again as a moviev franchise even while being overexposed with 6 solo movies in 15 years.

I would think $800M+ is very good for this movie. It is the 2nd reboot in 5 years and 6th Spiderman movie in 15 years. If the Garfield reboot had not taken place, SMH would have been in a way better position. The 2 ASM movies and a sub par SM 3 reduced the viability of Spiderman. On the other hand, SMH is off to an excellent start, so the sequel will have a bright future prospect.

BOT is a fine place. Every forum including BOM forum had some crazy posters. For the most part, BOT seems like a natural heir/extension of BOM forum and that is a very good thing.

+1 If this dude is an "Expert" on Box Office, most people on BOT would qualify as a "genius"

I remember this idiot writing a laughable article on The Force Awakens prior to release. Either, he doesn't know much about box office or he is deliberately trying to play down SMH.

Mendelson thinks SMH will do only $262M domestic. What a moron.

Ok movie. Slightly better than Dawn. The pacing in the second half is very slow especially after Caesar is captured. The narration is jerky at times. The ending is good. But the movie is generally dull. Tired of this series. Rating: B-/C+

This is unadulterated garbage, plain and simple. Nothing works. The junkyard scenes are overlong and vomit inducing. This from somebody who loves Bay movies such as Armageddon, Bad Boys 1 & 2, Island and someone who truly enjoyed the heck out of Transformers and to a lesser degree TF 2 and 3. Yuck. Rating: D-

TF5 was putrid garbage. This from somebody who happens to like many Michael Bay movies and one who has enjoyed TF movies to varying degrees.

After a very good spiderman in Tobey Maguire, a below average one in Andrew Garfield, we have a perfect Spiderman in Tom Holland. The movie is a high energy entertainer. The humor is top notch. Action is fairly good. Tom Holland is a joy to watch. Spiderman's interaction with his buddy Ned is superb. Zendaya was ok. Michael Keaton was a realistic yet menacing villain. RDJ did exactly what was nedeed. Happy's conversation with Parker in the restroom was priceless. Marisa Tomei is good but her role is minimal. Spiderman Homecoming is the best time I had at the movies this year. It is a perfect family entertainer. It is on par with Raimi's first two movies. Absolutely loved the movie. Rating: A

Better than the other DCEU movies. The action is handled deftly. The pacing is slow and the movie takes too long to hit its stride. Gal Gadot is a good fit. Chris Pine is fine. Expecting a great movie based on the reviews, I have to say I was disappointed. B-

A fast paced decent entertainer. The poor reviews may have helped my enjoyment of the movie. Some of actions scenes are good especially the Hyde fight. It is a campy B movie. No more no less. B

So a movie some people support does not do as well in Australia. The reason for the under-performance, 1. Australia Sucks 2. Australia hates women 3. Nobody takes Australia seriously Okey dokey.
