  1. Lol no kids would have noticed that but it's definitely not just a jaded/cynical thing. Like, c'mon! Having said that, Walter Jones and Thuy Trang made some kick-ass Black and Yellow Rangers respectively, and Blue perfectly suited David Yost.
  2. It will only be truly progressive when a guy plays the Pink Ranger.
  3. Nothing will beat his "Frozen doesn't look as interesting as Tangled/lesser known fairytale" 180M prediction, though.
  4. I hope at least two of Inhumans/Captain Marvel/BP make it on the Phase 3 schedule.
  5. He is talking about the original Japanese show, not the American semi-remake with the female Yellow Ranger. That character (Trini) was played by Thuy Trang, who unfortunately died in a car crash on September 3, 2001. She was also in The Crow: City of Angels.
  6. So beautiful. Marvel officially has a replacement for the IM movies. Who'da thunk it last year?
  7. Haha, I love how this has shades of everything: Doyle, Christie, Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew etc. Btw, this thread should be pinned. It's easy to miss.
  8. Probably because it making Top 5 over Aladdin, TS, TS2 and Nemo wasn't really expected by many.
  9. Most of the big names in both remakes are British, Anglo-Indian and other Commonwealth origins, so it makes sense that the thought of featuring in the most iconic British Raj story would appeal to them. I don't see many of these actors rushing to star in a remake of The Wizard of Oz, for example.
  10. Aladdin has a higher RT score. Actually, out of the "Big Four" Renaissance films (Mermaid, BatB, Aladdin and TLK), surprisingly it is The Lion King with the lowest RT score.
  11. I'd be down if the villain is Morgan Le Fay and played by Angie or Lena Headey.
  12. You know what? This moments/segment reasoning is exactly why I prefer Aladdin, Mermaid and Mulan over Lion King and BatB when it comes to the Disney Renaissance as well. While TLK and Beauty have these brilliant cinematic moments (Beginning and Stampede scenes for TLK, Transformation scene in BatB), they are also far more inconsistent than those other three films in terms of impressive storytelling. I mean, take away the breathtaking transformation sequence from BatB and it would just be an incredibly schmaltzy Broadway show that somehow stumbled onto the big screen. And don't get me started on the pacing issues in the second half of TLK. That and I far prefer the Aladdin/Mermaid/Mulan cast of characters to TLK/BatB too. Again, there are many, many things to like about Lion King and Beauty and the Beast (Beast's storyline is incredibly captivating), but the fact that they are treated like these untouchable sacred cows beyond compare always seems ridiculous to me.
  13. #13 is pretty spectacular for Frozen considering all the haters trying to skew Queen Elsa's rank. Also, Ratatouille > Wall-E IMO. Anton Ego's moment of clarity, OMG THE FEELS! I wish Mononoke, Mermaid and Frozen had snuck into the top 10 but I'm glad that the 7 Pixars in the Top 10 are indeed the 7 best Pixars!
  14. I have a strong feeling even Disney expected it to perform weaker than Tangled as it was more girlier and more musical-y. It was only after the rave reviews from the preview screenings started popping up that marketing busted out "Biggest Disney Animated Event Since The Lion King" in the last trailer.
  15. Sweet words for Robin, ice. And that image has been set as the wallpaper for my phone ever since I first saw it when you posted it in his tribute thread. So thanks for that and the awesome work on this list, you rock star you!
  16. But on a more serious note, what a fantastic list! That placement of those 7 Pixar films in the Top 10 is pure perfection! OMG Incredibles and Ratatouille overperforming! It's just the Renaissance Trio ordering that gets to me (BatB should've been in Aladdin's spot, TLK in BatB's and Aladdin in TLK's). But I'll survive. That Delgo fakeout, complete with Neo faux review!
  17. People have begun to use this challenge for such nefarious purposes now! Also, I won't be able to do it until Friday at the earliest. That or I will end up paying up.
  18. If Jessica Rabbit was psychologically repressed by fear for almost her entire life and cut off from the outside world, she wouldn't walk like that at her first go at all though.
  19. There's a very good reason for her uncomfortable body language. Also, that sexy walk is her strutting in the sun for the first time in forever and emphasizing her newly found freedom. Whatever, it's hot! And hopefully "eventually" doesn't mean "illegally".
  20. She's in a gown and walking on snow, up a mountain. The animators actually filmed a woman wearing a gown and walking on snow as reference to make Elsa's movements during the first half of "Let It Go" realistic. Also, what the heck are you doing not watching Frozen yet?
