  1. Actually first reviews started coming out during the Comic-Con weekend. None of them were enthusiastic.
  2. Yeah now I remember. Triceratops is my favorite kind of dinosaur so that was cool too!
  3. Make that three of a kind. No seriously, The Power Rangers were so personality-deprived (except maybe for Pink) that "color" being the #1 reason for picking a favorite was totally legit. That and Blue's robot form was a cool Wolf , right?
  4. Tangled was just a few K away from 200M and Frozen managed to reach 400M without any Puerto Rico-ing (though the Sing-A-Long release did help, the premature DVD/Blu-Ray release killed the late legs). Not like a full 5M fudge like the way you are suggesting for GotG or 260M for WS, which isn't a milestone in the slightest.
  5. Slightly bummed that no Direct to DVD DC Animated movie made it to the Top 100. But wowza! Keep up the great work, Ice!
  6. Aaaand the "Understatement Since the Big Bang" award goes to...
  7. Does a 45,000 word dissertation titled "Aladdin: Why Bush-League Mankind is Not Worthy of This Divine Perfection" count as a blurb?
  8. Thanks so much for doing this. I have a strong feeling this list will be epic and incredibly rewarding for you.
  9. As opposed to the hardened and jaded septuagenarian you were in 2003, right?
  10. AKA an average day in Summer 2014.
  11. Completely overshadowing? Aladdin is considered to be one of Disney's best male leads, if not THE best, and Jasmine and he are considered to be one of their best couples, if not THE best. "A Whole New World" was the song that broke out from that movie and became a Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe winning pop-culture phenomenon, and that has no Genie in it whatsoever. That's not to say that the Genie isn't a landmark performance, coz he sure is groundbreaking. But the reason the movie is remembered so fondly is because all of the characters were brilliant. From the lead couple to Genie to the villainous Jafar and Iago and even Abu, Sultan and that sweet Magic Carpet. It is one of the best character ensembles in any movie, animated or live-action.
  12. Nemo is definitely more popular than MI. And MU was REALLY mediocre. Having said that, Dory beating Shrek 2 is nowhere a lock.
  13. I can't even get myself to watch it now. God knows what I'm gonna do at "I don't care what anybody says. You'll always be a prince for me..."
  14. Belle is an asshole. "Little town, full of little people!" Uhm bitch, no wonder they consider your condescending ass to be wacko! And the worst is how she is considered "progressive" and "feminist" for reading some stupid picture book with a prince rescuing a princess. Ariel rescued a fish and a prince from a shark and a burning shipwreck respectively. What did Belle do other than develop Stockholm Syndrome?
  15. If you'd only look closer. Would you see a poor boy? No siree... No seriously, I cannot come up with a single male protagonist of color from any Hollywood film or show who was/is as awesome and personable as Aladdin. Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction, maybe? Calling him a "protagonist" is pushing it though.
  16. It was "nearly as good", IMO. The milking of the shtick was much more apparent than the first film but it was still a very clever and funny movie. It not only managed to retain all the goodwill from the first film, but also built on it. Of course, then The Turd came along and shat all over that.
  17. Lol it's like a really morbid version of Sierra's King's Quest series. You did not use the magic bow from your Inventory to kill Joffrey, so... beheading.
  18. Without question the best Rogues' Gallery in comics.
  19. Lol you are making an incredibly strong case for the SD flicks! My favorite one is Witch's Ghost. Dem sexy Hex Girls!
  20. Brilliant concept. Brilliant directing. Brilliant acting. Brilliant cinematography. That car sequence with Julianne Moore's assassination. CoM for me has stronger moments than Gravity. A+
  21. Wait wha....?!! Damn, now I've got to look forward to Jurassic World as well.
