  1. Yup, but many a times popularity is indeed awesome, and that is a glorious win for all!
  2. Those are just those images though. In the actual movies, the shape and size of Anna and Rapunzel's faces are very different from each other and how they look here.
  3. Exactly. They are huge because they break barriers of all kinds and bring diverse people from every part of the world together, proving that yes, all of us (or the overwhelming majority of us anyway) can connect, feel and relate in an incredibly similar way, if not the exact same way. That reassuring thought has always been magical throughout eons, and validates that life is worth living.
  4. True. And I never bought the argument that universal appeal = inferior.
  5. Yes. Lilo and Stitch is like The Descendants meets Guardians of the Galaxy almost a decade before those two wonderful movies even existed. And I am not just talking about the Hawaiian location and alien experiment critter when I say "Descendants meets Guardians".
  6. It's a joke about the constant whining of how every CGI Disney girl (Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, Honey Lemon) look the same.
  7. You'd be the new BKB and Avengers. But no 94 OW. If it had been Thanksgiving extended weekend and not facing off against Interstellar, then definitely. But not as things stand now.
  8. Walt Disney has spoken! But... "probably". Walt, do I sense something less than utmost confidence there?
  9. The Nine Realms of Thor only make up the Milky Way, our galaxy! Guardians takes place out of our galaxy, in outer space.
  10. Imagine poor Walt Disney and co. who had to work on Mary Poppins in the 60's AND deal with this:
  11. Fudge Blanks. For an entire five minutes, when I saw this thread on the first page, I was all, fuck what kind of weekend haze am I in that I cannot remember Monday AND Tuesday going by at all?
  12. You know, the funny thing about Sleeping Beauty is that most people wrongly remember it being as one of the most sexist Disney Princess movies because the princess here is the least active. I was one of those people before I recently rewatched the movie in anticipation for Maleficent. And surprisingly, I realized it actually is one of the more feminist-leaning Disney movies. Only, it's not the princess who is empowered, but these kick-ass ladies: Another reason to hate stupid Maleficent for its terrible depiction of these heroines.
  13. Eh, I actually hate Pocahontas and it wasn't even on my list. Educate yourself plz.
  14. Not gonna lie, Samara crawling out of the tv towards you in 3D could be some freaky shit.
  15. They need the Carol Captain Marvel movie before Kamala's movie. I wish it happens though. Kamala Khan definitely feels like Peter Parker for the new generation.
  16. The absence of FF is actually the one that is felt the most in the MCU. Not really for the FF themselves, but for their world and villains: Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer and maybe the Skrulls who are owned by Fox too (though I hope not).
  17. Up before the TS trilogy, Wall-E and Monsters Inc? Only if the film had been five minutes long... the first five minutes at that.
  18. Lol @ putting "Frank Miller" in the title. Coz The Spirit was the second coming of Citizen Kane apparently.
