    I'm not saying he didn't write a too-long script(I don't know anything about it, but maybe he did?), but I just think we should wait to find out the official runtime before freaking out. He's one of 3 writers and he isn't directing it, so there are more creatives involved that just his novel at least.

    First of all, Bumblebee was not a flop. Second, I feel like everyone that says something like this forgot why they started rebooting in the first place - audiences were clearly done with Bayformers.

    I don't want to put them "inside a box" but I also want them to have a nice variety of things to choose from. Over the years I've somehow managed to be able to get girlfriends and in that time I learned that sometimes they do in fact want 'girly' things. You make it sounds like we can't have both? Obviously, movies are in a very different place today as opposed to the 90's, but Roberts somehow managed to star in a Grisham adaptation AND rom coms.
