Great number for Book Club, it’ll most likely overtake IW in dailies tomorrow. They’re only ~18k apart today. -

DP2 is playing the opposite of IW, a weekdays movie instead of weekends. I still think $300 has a good chance but this weekend will be more telling than last of that how high that chance is. There might as well be no competitions this weekend, so if it drops another 60% again, then nah. -
Why do people even bother to ask who he plays? Woody Harrelson only plays Woody Harrelson, regardless of what movie.

But how? It’s at 219M after Memorial Day today. You’re saying it’ll only made 40M more off of a 43M weekend it just had? With summer weekdays coming up? Only 40M more means weekly drops for both weekdays and weekends closer to 70% from now on.

It actually had a good Friday this week too, relatively to the last 3 Fridays, where the numbers kept on causing meltdowns that were quickly put out by respective following Saturdays lol.

The late April release dates is such a proven and ludicrous release pattern for Marvel in the OS markets, there’s absolutely no point or reasons for trying out unproven dates. Least of all December where there are more competitions and things are less predictable. Of the 6 billion dollars MCU movies, 5 were released in late April OS. Why mess with what works lol.

Considering the way DP2 performing, sticking with the June release date would not have been good either. And OS would have suffered much more. August could have been good for DP2

Hey, OS opening goes up a good 3M from early estimates. And domestic also go up since the 101M 4-day estimate. Gotta give credits where credits’ due.

Solid number for Solo. Quite a bad drop for DP2. Expected but good number for IW, right in line with Memorial Day drops of other MCU May openers.

Aside from The Rock teaming up with Han’s murderer, he also split up the family. I’m against that spin off by principles. Justice for Han (and Vin Diesel)

Somewhere around $950M with estimates. Could go up with actuals. 10M more is easy off of the 14M weekend it just had

Fallen Kingdom could drop hard in US with -250M or so for 400M Dom, but OS has little reasons to drop big. It’s more comparable to The Avengers and Fast 7 than the SW franchise in the OS markets.

Funnier thing is the projected 65M OS opening could be too high. So far, UK, China, and Russia numbers are overestimated. Super rare for OS actuals to not increase from estimates, let alone decrease lol. (Germany estimates trended up though, so if some other markets can do the same, maybe actuals won’t go down that much)

Lol, I jest. No chance at Top 10 WW though. Assuming it can get over 400M, that’ll put Solo at #8 WW. Just in summer: Incredibles 2, JW2, Ant-Man 2, and MI:F will easily go over 400M and pushed it out of top 10.

Looking at the chart, WB seems the only one capable of reasonable Memorial Day projection lol. The -43% drop for IW looks even more hilarious here.

I searched up Believer, and saw that it starred the late Kim Joo Hyuk I like the other cast members as well. Gonna put it on the to-see list. Gotta watch Along with the Gods also since the sequel is coming this August.
