That's great for The Conjuring! I haven't seen buzz like this for a horror movie since The Purge (that movie sucked in so many levels). Kudos to the advertising though! That picture of the sign that priest are available for counsel really hyped people up and from what I've heard it really did live up to it.
As for R.I.P.D. yaouch! And Turbo could have done better if it was released in May.
Also I knew that it wouldn't make 200m on it's opening weekend. But I thought it was locked for 180m. And midnights are an indicator that it was heading that way.
I am watching a newsreport on the tragedy and the media is having a lot to do with people fearing going into theaters on OW. My mom just told me that I should just wait to see movies a week afterwards. Sure it's really sad but it could have happened everywhere. I guess that's why people are not going. I just know that people in this site will say that it had no effect on the movie box office since their expectations were really high, but it will have an impact on every movie.
And you know what, I was slightly disappointed by the movie but everyone else seems to love it. All my friends that have seen it on twitter have said that they wanted to name their kids Bruce and that it's the best movie ever. It is going to have really good WOM. I just think we all had high expectations coming from guys that follow box office. And honestly it's dumb to think that tr shooting had no affect on the movie, it did.
I'm glad Phillip won but I don't know guys, I was really rooting for Colton. I would actually listen to his album. As much as I loved Jessica, I just wouldn't listen to her. That beig said great single by Phillip!
I'm really looking foward to hopefully finishing Sam's Town (musical based on The Killers music). I hope I have enough time! It won't be ready for Year 3 though.
Fantastique had a lot of potential and I still really like the concept so that will be edited. I will also release If... or Metal Heads (my only big blockbusters) and who knows if the year is weak or something I might edit The Scene of Violence as well or I might actually finish my foreign language epic!
Fantastique!
