I actually wanted these guys to direct flash, but after all their recent issues with the Han Solo movie I would rather they not bring all that baggage with them into this project. DC should just wait for Zemekis already.
At the end of the day its difficult to quantify what level of box office draw a certain actor / actress has on a movie and it would be impossible to remake the same movie at the same time the original movie was release with a different actor / actress to see if it has a bigger or smaller draw.
I don't think any actor / actresses are box office draws, its just the interesting concept of the movie and hype / marketing that draws people to watch it.

Looks like this year 2 previously huge franchises might just be on their last legs. Pirates and Transformers. What a shame. Maybe they can crossover both those franchises and see if that helps revitalize either one.
There is only soo much a movie with only appealing visuals can achieve. If the TF movies had better story telling it would've done so much better at the box office despite this one being the 5th movie in the franchise.
I'm starting to doubt that these 2 will end up directing The Flash because their involvement with this project was before the whole Jonhs/Berg era on the DC films. I believe that Jonhs will be completely hands on with what the flash movie will be about which will most likely go against what Lord and Miller first set out to do with the character.
