Wow nobody has seen this?

Really liked it. It has a lot of heart. Loved some of the characters, and has a dramatic side that you don't see in every animation movie (the Queen and the son of the main villain die, MK recently lost her mother and can't connect with her father, Nod doesn't have a father and Ronin promises Nod's dad before he dies that he will look and help his son, Ronin sees the love of his love being killed while he can't do nothing to stop it). The slug and the snail were hilarious. Should have good WOM with kids/adults.

Its kind of a crap, really. The art design and some of the comedy are enjoyable, but there really isn't much here. I dont think even kids will like it; the ones in my screening barely made a sound throughout the whole thing and left the theater quiet.

What was with Colin Farrell's accent though? Changed every scene.

A bit generic and the musical number was not needed, but surprisingly good. B+

The story was very by-the-numbers - in fact more Disney than anything with all the lost-father-motifs - but had drive. The character designs were mostly good or even excellent, especially the two snails were among the funniest things I've seen over the last years. The sets were lush and imaginative. Sadly, the main characters (and facial animations) were not up to the same standard - Wall-E had a more expressive face than those wooden lead characters. So, nice viewing experience but no need to rewatch this.
