One visionary once commented that Akshay Kumar is a Box Office Poison, and Akshay Kumar is proving that with his every release.

He somehow made a movie with a character and hook that is in sentiment of what is happening in India a disaster.

Now he'll make a comeback with patriotic movie 😂😂

Oh lmao 🤣. True that. They should have made a sequel instead of remaking it would have grossed more. Tbh we need more good comedies like Hera pheri, Dhamaal.

I prefer Laal Singh trailer over it. Won't be surprised with under Jagga Jasoos

Nah this one is pandering to religion so bhakts and nationalists are not gonna boycott it.

VFX seems better than other Bollywood movies, obviously not on par with Hollywood though. Kinda reminded me of VFX from Chinese movies from a few years ago (and not necessarily the good ones). Colour of the effects like fire is dialed up, which when combined with largely dark and night background seems to pop. But this only helps in masking the mediocre VFX.

The VFX just look off for whatever reason, the fire especially looks so fake

Honestly prefer this over whatever Netflix will do with Avataar live action lmao.

I think the VFX will serve its purpose since it doesnt have to show hyper realistic objects/animal but instead mostly non tangible fantastical elements like something from Dr Strange spells and effects.

Dialogues are corny and Ranbir looks bit stiff instead of looking serious

Is this a religious movie?

cause we seen if movies get a nationalist or religious element to them then the box office changes like with Kashmir Files.

It's pandering to religion and religious folks. It is set in, and has many elements of, religious mythology, enough to make it a quasi religious movie but not an actual religious movie.

Despite that I dont think this does anywhere as well as the big south movies, even if it is well received.

Its not religion that sell. Its hatred for Muslims & politics that made The Kashmir Files what it did.

Oh no doubt about. But the religious nuts and nationalists are at least not going after this movie because of its religious elements. Remove those and this would have already been targeted online with abuses, review bombings, dislikes, twitter trends, etc.

Dharma Productions missed its chances of adding minority villains :P

Maybe they will for part 2 after this inevitably disappoint due to its massive budget.
