DAR
http://talkbacker.com/dvdblu-ray/little-mermaids-blu-ray-has-part-of-her-world-in-the-wrong-place/id=2224#disqus_threadLook I wasn't planning on buying the blu ray. But this is an error that should be fixed. But I think what is more appalling is the response from Disney. It shows they don't care enough about their consumers or their product
CaptainJackSparrow
What a terrible response.
Dementeleus
I'm astonished this made it past QC. Disney is usually hyper-critical about the slightest of errors (even non-errors).
Jim Shorts
Not shocked at all by their response. Fixing this error would have pushed back the re-release for an extended amount of time and would have cost them millions. That's why they are probably giving the $7 coupon via Scottbrand tissues for your troubles.
lab276
Really can't quite see the issue. Can someone point it out?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5vHZH-YJQA
Jim Shorts
^ lmao, they put the scenes back together in the wrong order. Here's more changes: http://youtu.be/qXpk-YHH03o Edited September 16, 2013 by Jim Shorts
Jim Shorts
Looks like the print they used for the restoration also had a rip.
Jim Shorts
At least the priest's boner is gone in this version.

Ezen Baklattan
At least the priest's boner is gone in this version. Clearly this is the worst thing they did in the restoration.
K1stpierre
Really can't quite see the issue. Can someone point it out?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5vHZH-YJQA Phew. I thought I was the only one. I mean, I see that in the blue ray they show flounder differently, but I don't really see the big impact it has. The blue ray version to me still has it showing Ariel on key singing....

Jim Shorts
To Disney loons, it's the same as re-release of the original Star Wars with all the changes Lucas made, but instead of on purpose, Disney made a mistake and gave a nonchalant response back when called out on it. lab276
^ lmao, they put the scenes back together in the wrong order.Yes, but what is the effect? It's such a small thing, I reckon if you just watched the blu ray without knowing about this you wouldn't notice.

#ED
umm... There have been worst edits in films remastered.
Dementeleus
It's funny, though. Like I said before, Disney is hyper-critical about technical stuff. I've worked on shows that get rejected by QC because an audio dissolve happens 2 frames early in the commercial black.... yet they miss this? By the time a movie actually gets mastered to disc, countless eyes have seen it. Literally hundreds of people, probably.
