Hernan Gonzalez
It was prob currency based They have a 30%+ inflation rate so in local currency it probably is the highest.
Hernan Gonzalez
Top 5 Weekend: 1- Fifty Shades of Grey, 420935 admissions, $3.5m 2- Taken 3, 82560 adm, -37%. Cume: 565783 adm, $3.6m 3- SpongeBob 2, 61618 adm, -48%. Cume: 247216 adm, $1.6m 4- Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast, 50563 adm, around $0.3m 5- Penguins of Madagascar, 38255 adm, -46%. Cume: 682235 adm, $4.4m As expected 50SoG was HUGE!!! $3.5m is not something we see very often in this market. Only Wild Tales opened with 400k+ admissions last year. And thanks to the cancelation of any discount or promotion during its first week Fifty Shades` average ticket was higher than usual ($8.2). Saint Valentine's day was the biggest of the year so far with 255460 admissions. Another important thing that happened this weekend concern to Relatos Salvajes (Wild Tales). It fell only 4% compared to last weekend and it reached $20m, 3.82m admissions!!!

Hernan Gonzalez
Henry, what is the expectation for TA2? Can it beat WT? Well, it is the most awaited movie of the year by a far margin. It could pass WT in gross but not in admissions. It should also beat 50SoG OW. I am thinking about 3m admissions and $21m look possible

Hernan Gonzalez
Damn 50SoG is hugeee. And Taken seems popular in Argentina. Those are some good numbers You are right and Grey should easily win again this weekend, even though it is expected to fall hard, because it has no direct competition and the new releases don't seem to be very powerful. This year is on fire!!! February will be so much better than the previous years!! Hernan Gonzalez
As expected Annie and Kingsman didn't impress yesterday. Grey will easily win its second weekend even though it fell 65% compared to the OD

It is already number 1 movie for 2015 and it should pass 1m admissions next weekend. Cume: 366150 adm, $2.4m 5- Annie, 62013 admissions, new, around $0.35m Fifty Shades should easily win again next weekend because there are no interesting new opening. Birdman is getting more screens so it will be back into the Top Ten but it only did around $0.4m so far so I don't think it will have a big jump. Wild Tales (Relatos Salvages) didn't win the Oscar so it will probably leave the Top Ten next weekend. Hernan Gonzalez
Fifty Shades Of Grey is falling less than 50% this weekend. It is doing more than the sum of the other 4 films in the Top 5. Birdman flew to the second place. As expected there are no new releases into the Top Ten. Taken continuous its very good run falling a mere 19%. Kingsman and Annie saw nice decreases on their sophomore session. The first one has very good reviews and the singing orphan the worst this year so far...
