Considering others dropped more than TOW, I'd say holiday can account for most of that dip. Nice averages for sw. Considering the very limited showing. (Essentially 45 showings on 45 screens. )

Ted wasn't far off in 2012. It doubled from similar previews. I wonder if BN can get $5-6m next weekend.I think TASM2 is looking at $17-17.5m now. Edited May 5, 2014 by DeeCee

Bad Neighbours is getting a heap of screenings.  I notice TASM2 has hardly any 3D screenings, none at some cinemas.

Rth, how did the first Thursday of BN compare to the first Friday previews last weekend? Is it looking like it will perform like Ted did in 2012? Will it double the preview weekend?

At my work it was pretty slow. With it continuing that pace I struggle to see more then $3m. But Friday and Saturday can really pick up so who knows.

 

And Village are definitely going the route of reducing their 3D showings. We had 3 on opening weekend for TASM2 then went to 1 then 0. We had 1 for The Lego Film on OW then got rid of it.

Yep - i've noted the same... Chermside is much the same... on 3 films are showing on 3D and none of them are considered to be blockbusters and only on limited screens anyway.

Strong Friday and very strong Saturday for Bad Neighbors. I can see around a $4m weekend for it..
