ITALY (Botteghino): 'Inside Out 2' is 7th biggest film of all time and biggest animated film ever!

My theaters gave Barbie a ton of shows now and sales are pacing really strong, film will do great. Looks much much better than the likes of indy/mi7

It will open over Mario too. At least First day. Then how we know in Summer weekends are lower than in the season and weekday bigger.

The Barbie numbers are simply phenomenal near me. Without Oppenheimer releasing alongside it theaters near me are playing this the widest since Avatar2 and I think they're going to sellout on every show today.

Highest OD of the year for sure. Sales for the rest of the weekend don't look quite as monstrous to me, but with the numbers thursday is reaching there will be plenty of spillover...I expect an OW over 5M and perhaps knocking Mario off the OW of the year seat.

Thanks to BO Benful, here are the best Opening Days ever in Italy

1. Tolo Tolo - € 8.887.696 (1.207.878 adm) - 2020 - Local Movie

2. Quo vado? - € 7.360.192 (1.002.725) - 2016 - Local Movie

3. Avengers: Endgame - € 5.377.882 (666.256) - 2019

4. Harry Potter 8 - € 3.185.844 (393.161) - 2011 - July, like Barbie

5. The Lion King - € 3.137.388 (461.327) - 2019

6. Avengers: Infinity War - € 3.103.621 (406.056) - 2018

7. Spider-Man: No Way Home - € 2.939.360 (388.994) - 2021

8. Spider-Man 3 - € 2.774.646 (435.521) - 2007

9. Harry Potter 6 - € 2.741.322 (440.212) - 2009

10. Che bella giornata - € 2.722.367 (410.538) - 2011 - Local Movie

Almost impossible to beat HP8 and set a new July record, but it could be the best OD of the year.

Truly impressive, now we are sure it will finish above both Little Mermaid and Fast X at 12M, but I don't think it will reach Mario at 20M

In any case I have a feeling that this could end up among the 20/30 highest grossing movies ever in the city of Milan, if only there was somebody able to extrapolate all the necessary data

It's playing incredible well everywhere. I'm from a Little city (50k citizens) in Sicily and only one multisala, and for 2 days every showing has been 100% sold out.

I was thinking, maybe i'm wrong, this could be the best 4 days weekend since first 50 shades movie?.

All i can think in the range of 7-10M since there are 5 days "weekends".

Maybe Furious 7

Damn at this point 15M euros for Barbie is almost locked, for anything more let's wait and see

For Mission Impossible instead there was a -38%, the total is now 3.1M which is 500k less than Fallout at the same point

Then there is also Le Otto Montagne which returned in top 10 a few months from the last time, the total is now close to 5.9M
