An italian film exploding and potentially even claiming the yearly crown was very much needed as I can't even remember the last time that happened except for Zalone, there was even talk of pulling funds for the industry from some politicians earlier this year.

 

More than anything it atleast gives an indication that audiences can still care about local cinema and maybe some direction on where to aim.

C'è ancora domani won the fourth weekend in a row after decreasing by 10%, and reaching a total of 19M euros

 

The Marvels instead dropped by just 60%, as usual we are quite review-proff, whether they are very good or very bad

Amazing Sunday if we consider that Sinner-Djokovic collected 7m viewers on TV (6pm-8pm).

Very good saturday jump for napoleon here, 1.065M. Its 3-day total is now ahead of BOSS' 4-day total by a decent margin. Cume crossed 2M and will be close to 3M for the OW, should cross 5M pretty comfortably.

 

C'è ancora domani narrowly misses returning to #1 but is still chugging along, will beat Mario sometime next week and will handily beat Oppenheimer at this point, remains to be seen if it beats Barbie too and claims the yearly crown.

Not a single theater in the radius of 50km, and after seeing the incredible reviews it's a real pity

Godzilla (2014) made €5.09M but Minus One will barely make anything.  It's sad to see.

Lol, didn't even know it was out here. Looked around me, not a single theater in my area is playing it.

Did Migration open limited or something? It seems to have normal shows in my area but cinetel doesn't have a release date for it, number was really low too, a measly 192k saturday OD (?). Not sure what the situation is with this thing.

 

Napoleon held well despite what seems to be all around mediocre to bad consensus worldwide, just -34% off last sat, almost returned to #1 even. C'è ancora domani had its worst drops so far this week but will nonetheless beat Oppenheimer during next week and possibly beat Barbie for #1.

 

Wonka looks surprisingly good for next week in my area. It will win december pretty handily as I assume both Color Purple and Aquaman will do poorly here.

C'è ancora domani passed Oppenheimer for 2nd of the year, should cross 29M today, will be close with Barbie with the holidays.

 

Wonka should have a very good opening next week, sales look strong to me. Main competition over the holidays will probably be Wish which releases on the 21st iirc.

C'è Ancora Domani grossed 1.5M in its seventh weekend, on par with what it did on the opening one! The total is now 29.5M euros, and after outgrossing Super Mario, Spider Man, Oppenheimer and many others it should have enough to surpass the 32.1M of Barbie

 

It will also pass Life Is Beautiful at 31.2M as the highest grossing Italian movie excluding Zalone, but as we know in those years the counting accuracy was pretty bad and the film in reality has grossed 47M euros

C'è Ancora Domani (at 31.5M euros) has now surpassed the official gross of La Vita è Bella by Roberto Benigni, making it the 5th highest grossing Italian movie in the country right after 4 Checco Zalone movies

 

Using instead the estimated gross C'è Ancora Domani isn't in the top 10 Italian movie, but excluding Zalone it's still the highest grossing since Pinocchio and Natale sul Nilo both in 2002

Happy Christmas to everybody! 

 

My gift for you is many new flops: Wish opened with just 1M euros (less than Encanto), Aquaman with 1M too (much less than the first), Beyoncé with 200k (less than the already bad 700k of Taylor Swift), Migration is already out of the top 10 and Ferrari after its second week looks like it won't even reach 5M euros, let alone House of Gucci

 

Wonka and C'è Ancora Domani instead are still going well
