October 11, 2016 (Burbank, CA) ─ The network premiere of SUPERGIRL was super-powered for The CW, giving the network its most-watched (3.024M) show in its Monday 8:00-9:00pm time period in almost eight years (GOSSIP GIRL on 12/1/08), its best adults 18-49 (1.1/4) rating in nearly six years (90210 on 12/6/10), and its highest adults 18-34 (0.9/4) rating in five years (GOSSIP GIRL on 11/21/11), according to preliminary fast affiliate ratings from Nielsen Media Research for October 10, 2016.

 

SUPERGIRL was The CW's highest rated show ever in its time period among men 18-49 (1.2/4).

 

Compared to the same week last season (10/12/15, series premiere of CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND), SUPERGIRL more than tripled the network's performance in total viewers and all key demos.

 

Versus last season's time period averages, SUPERGIRL was +246% in total viewers, +200% in adults 18-34, and +267% in adults 18-49. Compared to last season's season finale on CBS, SUPERGIRL rose +29% in adults 18-34.

 

SUPERGIRL ranked #3 in its time period in men 18-34 (0.9/4) and #3 (tie) in men 18-49, and #4 in adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 (tie).

Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) blames Hank (David Harewood) because the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO. Meanwhile, Kara's first day at her new job doesn't go as planned after she meets her new boss, Snapper Carr (guest star Ian Gomez). Glen Winter directed the episode written by Robert Rovner & Caitlin Parrish (#202).

It's not hard to get a better version than the current cinematic version. goes to show had horribly Superman's character was portrayed in the film universe. although honestly aside from Christopher Reeves, he was pretty much always portrayed better on TV. 

 

I still need to finished season 1. but I am really starting to like the show. I'm so glad they decided to add Superman to the mix! can't wait to see season 2! 

 

I wonder what the chances are of getting another Superman series though. I'm so ready for a good superman again, and I doubt will get that in film anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) is thrilled to have found another Martian and tries to get to know M'Gann (guest star Sharon Leal) better. This show is actually even better than it was in Season 1, even though I still don't care for any of the male characters who aren't Hank.

 

I feel like Winn has improved a fair bit. Poor Jimmy, though.

November 29, 2016 (Burbank, CA) ─ With SUPERGIRL kicking off The CW's Heroes vs. Villains four-night DC crossover event, The CW had its most watched Monday night (2.37M) in nearly seven years (1/18/10), according to preliminary fast affiliate ratings from Nielsen Media Research for November 28, 2016.

 

SUPERGIRL had its most watched (3.5M) episode of the season, and it was The CW's most watched telecast of any series thus far this season. SUPERGIRL matched its season premiere ratings in both adults 18-34 (0.9/4) and adults 18-49 (1.1/4).

 

SUPERGIRL was #2 in the 8-9pm hour in adults 18-34, and matched FOX in adults 18-49.

 

Last night's SUPERGIRL was The CW's most watched show in its Monday 8-9pm time period in more than eight years (9/15/08).

 

Last night was The CW's highest rated Monday night in more than five years in adults 18-49 (0.8/3 since 10/3/11) and in four years in adults 18-34 (0.7/3 on 12/17/12). It was the network's highest rated Monday night in men 18-49 (0.9/3) in more than eight years (10/20/08).

 

At 9-10pm, JANE THE VIRGIN also had its most watched (1.24M) and highest rated (0.5/2 in adults 18-34, 0.5/2 in adults 18-49) episode of the season. It was the most watched episode of JANE THE VIRGIN since the season one finale on 5/11/15.

 

This season JANE THE VIRGIN doubles or nearly doubles its ratings when Live + 7 Day delayed viewing is added in to its L+SD totals, rising by 110% in adults 18-34, +95% in adults 18-49, and +76% in total viewers. SUPERGIRL sees significant time shifting as well, gaining +58% in total viewers, +63% in adults 18-34 and +68% in adults 18-49.

KEVIN SMITH DIRECTS; ROULETTE RETURNS — Kara (Melissa Benoist) is moved by the story of a missing woman named Izzy (guest star Harley Quinn Smith) and decides to investigate despite Snapper Carr's (guest star Ian Gomez) order to leave it alone. Kara takes Mon-El (Chris Wood) with her to the last place Izzy was seen and the duo find themselves thrust through a portal to another planet, Slaver's Moon, where the downtrodden are sold as slaves. The leader of the trafficking ring is none other than Roulette (guest star Dichen Lachman). To make matters worse, Slaver's Moon has a red sun, which means Kara and Mon-El are stripped of their powers and stuck on the planet with no way home. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Alex (Chyler Leigh) blames herself for Kara's disappearance, fearing she's become too focused on her new relationship with Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) and too complacent in watching out for her sister. Kevin Smith directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Eric Carrasco & Jess Kardos (#209).

However, when it is revealed that Armek shape-shifted into M'gann and is now loose in the building, the team realize he could be disguised as any one of them.
