Into the Woods...?

Wow, just, look at night at the Museum go! Off of a 17M debut, I guess that's the holidays for you.

The Imitation Game is going to have a very very interesting run over the next month. I'm looking forward to seeing its run and American Snipers more than any January release.

There's not much to say about Woman In Black other than typical. Now the battle to get a 2x multiples begins...

Is 40% drop for unbroken bad?

Not really, if you take this quote from Ray Subers of BOM into account:

"A quick note regarding weekend projections: while Friday, January 2nd is technically a work day, it is sandwiched between a holiday (New Year's Day) and a weekend. As a result, nearly everyone takes off from work that day, which translates in to bigger-than-usual attendance at movie theaters. What this also means is that Friday will account for a bigger share of the weekend box office (looking at past examples, it should be at least 37 percent)."

With last week opening being a holiday that lasted until Thursday, harsher drops were expected, no?
