peludo
You must not see this as a bad thing, living and working abroad can bring a lot of benefits to your life. That is not a bad thing never. The problem is that the benefit is for you, not for your country. For that reason Spain is fucked.

For that reason Spain is fucked. I don't know, if they can't have a job in Spain the country wouldn't benefit from them being jobless right? And that depends on their education skills, if most of these people emigrating have college degrees it could be a problem but if they're mainly low-skilled people working in German factories or British restaurants that won't change anything. Most people who leave Spain are very well formed, most of them, from university. So yes, we have a huge problem. Spain form (very well) people but other countries get benefits of them... just sad. Well, in France an increasing number of students leave the country (mostly to the US, UK and Australia, 25% of French people leaving France for the US are scientists! ) given there is a lack of opportunities, and apparently it's even worse in Portugal than in Spain! And we have a socialist president who taxed rich people, created new regulations and civil servants jobs, so you cna see that doesn't really work, it just created more debt by decreasing the GDP growth and accelerated the flight of high-skilled people and investors while keeping foreign investors away. So Spain chose the right way : effort, patience. You can't lower fast enough such a high unemployment, you need time and to free the energies while keeping the debt under control to reassure investors and keeping bonds interest rates as low as possible. If we talk economically, I do not care about the colour of the party in the government. At least, not in Spain. Both of them (socialist and conservative) have ruined us. The conservative party promoted the current Spanish crisis with a law that benefited the construction in 1998 (Aznar's government, the same party than is now in the government). During the next 6 years, an irreal growth was given because an enormous business in construction sector (about 15% of the whole economical activity, building about 800,000 houses per year!!!). Socialist government arrived in 2004, but they did not stopped that activity since it was very good for their interests. Unemployment dropped to 8%, something incredible in a country like this. However, in 2008 the crisis began with Lehman Brothers fall (current economy minister, Luis de Guindos, was counselor in that company when it became bankrupted). Before conservative party arrived to the government in 1996, houses used to cost about 60,000-70,000 euros. 8 years later, when they left the goverment, the same houses cost about 200,000-250,000. Of course, salaries had not grown with the same strength, but the ilimited credit gave you access to everything. If you add that a bricklayer was earning quite more than doctors, engineers or scientists... Many people left studies because construction was crazy. And that was promoted by today goverment. The same people who say now that we must save, the same government that are implied in corruption crimes. I can not trust in people who steal us... Today those people who left studies are impossible to be located. The activity in construction is, logically, a joke compared with 10 years ago and there is not demand for those proffesionals. I am afraid that the 20% will stay here for a long long time... 2007 situation will never come again for sure.
peludo
Hey, peludo, cheer up, man! Stop being so depressed! Thank you for your cheers . It is certainly depressing to listen every day the same shit during 7 years. And to see that people you should trust to make things correctly are the worse shit you can face. I saw recently a TV show comparing some things between Denmark, the least corrupt country in the world, and Spain. It was shameful to be conscious that both countries belong to the same world... The journalist asked people on Danish streets if they could mention a corruption problem in their country. ALL OF THEM were surprised about the question. They did not know any case. Just one person remembered one case in 80s in a small village. I can tell you about 20-30 big cases just in last 12 months in my country. Today, for instance, the FC Barcelona's president and Barcelona as a football club have been accused of tax fraud in one player engagement (Neymar). I am sorry about these long and boring messages about my country. Sometimes i start and I can not stop... Let's talk about box office

That's like comparing Big Hero 6 to Frozen. Whenever you think Big Hero 6 is not doing good compare it to The Princess And The Frog, or Bolt or, even worst, Mars Needs Mums. And you are going to appreciate how good it is really doing. There are so so many animated movies that have done worst than Big Hero 6 and so few that have done better. It's the same with Spain. I read a lot of latin american newspapers looking for box office related news and I can assure you that Spain is Heaven compare to those countries. And take this coming from a person who lives in Catalonia, where the King and Queen of corruption are from, the Pujol family.
