The Coen Brothers made a well-received comedy? How such a lazy film can get to #13 on this list is anyone's guess, but you know, that's just because of like like, your opinions and votes, man.

Avatree
7. 237 POINTS "Never give up. Never surrender." Released: 1999 Director: Dean Parisot I gotta be honest, I love GALAXY QUEST. It's great fun, it's full of heart and it is absolutely hysterical. I haven't seen much of Star Trek, but it's clear that everyone behind this movie has a genuine love for what they're parodying. But the best part of the film is the late Alan Rickman. He's a great comedic performer, something that people sometimes forget; and watching this film is a wonderful way to remember him. His character's cynicism and development arc is a great thing to behold, and he holds the key to this film's charm. Alan Rickman was an intelligent, funny, charismatic and inspirational performer, and he will be missed greatly. By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Worvan, you shall be avenged. RIP.

Released: 1994 Director: Farrelly Brothers Now something a bit lighter... this buddy movie was a massive blockbuster hit upon release, and clearly has held up well enough to earn the respect of the Box Office Theory crowd. DUMB AND DUMBER is at #6, though how its characters found their way there is anyone's guess.

Avatree
4. 272 POINTS "Yes! We're all individuals!" Released: 1979 Director: Terry Jones Monty Python has landed. The wise men of Box Office Theory followed my posts here and found the very naughty boy that is MONTY PYTHON'S LIFE OF BRIAN. Controversial, endlessly quotable, and genuinely edgy, it's nailed in to the top of this list at #4.
