Alpha
The only instant classic I've seen this year is The Master. Argo didn't do it for me. Technically The Master is the best film of the year, but SLP had more heart and I 'enjoyed' it more. The Master was a horrible film.

Impact
Well I probably will end up on team Lincoln....
riczhang
I don't like Les Mis' chances as much as before. Django really has no chance at BP. ZDT is probably in barring disaster.Ang Lee is in from reviews and film.Bigelow is head of directors branch at AMPAS.Everybody loves AffleckRussell has crowdpleaser and takes risks in a genre known for safety. And Spielberg is Speilberg with an zeitgeist film.If Les Mis misses director, it will be dangerous to it's Oscar chances and a sweep is out of the question.I actually like Les Mis's chances more and more actually. It's gonna screen this weekend and buzz should explode from here on out.

pieman
Les Miz is exploding at screenings. Cold-hearted cynic Kris Tapley called it a triumph. IT MUST BE GOOD THEN!

Impact
Not that many predicted Hugo be there either. (It did have terrible trailers also)
CoolioD1
Yeesh, yeah. Those Hugo trailers were so bad that even after the great reviews and the fact it had picked up some critics awards I still refused to predict the movie, I don't think I predicted it until I actually saw it.
