Giving this a solid B+. Great performances but the highlight was Kristen Stewart.

Sorry but Juliette Binoche did all the heavy lifting in all their scenes.

It kinda goes off the rails in the finale, but all three lead performances are excellent.

 

It's a shame Twilight has given Kristen Stewart such a bad rap.

Stewart is so great in this precisely because she never makes an impression that she's doing any heavy lifting. It's a completely effortless and natural performance.

Binoche is a legend but KStew was easily the better performance in this.

 

Actually she was one of the most nuanced and effortless performances of the last few years. I was never in the "worst actress ever" internet bandwagon since I had seen her being good in other stuff outside of Twilight but here she was a revelation.
