It does seem that the DWA budgets have been slashed to what Illumination spends, the days of $150m+ for an animated film are over for anyone who isn't Disney or Pixar.

The reported budget is only $82 million compared to the $125 million reported cost of the first film, so that would track.

This was actually good lol? Me and my friends decided to watch it in between Overwatch matches today ironically but we actually ended up enjoying this nonsensical film. An overwhelming sensory experience. I do not remember the first movie getting this crazy and this destructive (maybe the closest a kids movie has come to imitating Michael Bay). This handles the same themes as Mitchells vs the Machines but is actually fun, and also 30 minutes shorter.
