The shot opens with a full moon rising over a small scenic Maine town. Suddenly gray clouds blow over the sky and hide the moon. It’s light still peers through the clouds. The camera moves toward the town. Snow falls heavily over the town covering it in a deep white blanket. The camera moves to a small house located in the middle of the town. We see a small boy sleeping in his bed. A wheelchair is parked next to it. Suddenly out of the silence a wolf howls. The boy awakens to the loud. He peeps out of his window out at the snow covered town. He hears the wind rattling the shutters and says, “Well it must have been just the wind.” He covers himself back up in his blankets and dozes off to sleep.

The camera moves to a man walking up to a small shed along the train track. His gray uniform jacket reads GS & WM Railroad. His name tag identifies him as Arnie Westrum. He knocks on the shed and it opens. He coworker says it is about time and he is ready to go home an sleep. They exchange information in regards to the shift. Arnie then tells his coworker to have a good night and shuts the shed door. We see the small shed is heated and warm. Arnie sits on a chair and lights a cigarette. He gets comfortable thinking it will be another uneventful night. After a few minutes pass, he hears a howling noise but ignores it thinking it is the wind. He continues to smoke his cigarette. The camera moves outside and we see a shadow move outside of the glowing shed. Arnie begins to drift off but is startled by a scratching sound at the door. He walks over and readjusts the door thinking it is still partially open. He sits back down. The scratching continues and begins to grow louder. Arnie puts out his second cigarette and cautiously looks at the door. He places his ear on the door to see if he can hear anything. Nothing. Suddenly there is a deafing and heavy thud on the door. Arnie falls back in shock. The door begins to break apart and a snout of a massive wolf appears. Arnie grabs a pick to defend himself. The door breaks apart and Arnie sees two deep yellow eyes staring at him. The creature comes out of the shadows and he sees a massive wolf standing on its hind legs. Arnie gasps in horror, unable to vocalize ay words or even a scream. The wolf snarls and its white fangs appear. The saliva from its long and sharp teeth tremble at the deep snarl coming from the beast.  The wolf snaps its jaws at the air and springs at Arnie with a roar. Arnie gives a yell and swing his pick at the monster. He misses and his pick becomes stuck in the wooden floor. Knowing his fate is sealed, Arnie reaches up with his arms to block the wolf’s attack. The wolf viciously mauls Arnie while he screams only leaving him in bloody bits. The camera pans over the shed and see see dark red blood splattered over the snow. The shadow of the beast appears as it vanishes into the dark forest.

DINO TIME Y'ALL

@Rorschach

Aaron - Chiwetel Ejiofor
Sue - Rosa Salazar
Chester - Charlie Day

Chester: Welp, time for lunch.
Aaron: ...Lunch? It’s just past midnight!
Chester: Not in dino time, Mr. Derry. Look at the position of the sun, it’s about noon. Besides, I’m hungry.
Aaron: [looks up at the sky and sighs] Just don’t litter, okay?

Chester starts munching on a sandwich while Aaron and Sue continue investigating the footprints. Sue sees trails of flowing water and concludes that a river or lake must be nearby and whatever made the footprints is heading towards a watering hole. Chester continues munching before he’s interrupted by a strange clicking sound. He turns to see an Oviraptor glaring at him, clearly interested in his sandwich.

Chester: ...Guys…
Sue: Not now, Chester!
Chester: D-d-d-d-d-d-di-
Aaron: Chester, I’ve told you a million times, chew your food before you swallo- [sees the raptor] WHOA!

Chester lets out a girlish scream and drops the sandwich, allowing the oviraptor to snatch it and devour it. Once over the initial shock, Chester gets angry and tries to take back his meal only to be hissed at by the raptor. Aaron and Sue are too dumbfounded to do anything.

Cue the music:

(0:00) The Oviraptor hops onto the hood of the time rover and noses around in the passenger seat. It finds a pair of binoculars and tries to chomp on them but once it realizes it’s not food it throws it away. Sue comes to her senses and tries to shoo it away from the car with a tree branch but the raptor is unphased. Eventually it finds a whole box filled with sandwiches, hisses at the group and runs away. Chester, vowing to beat its butt for stealing the sandwiches, pursues despite Sue and Aaron’s protestations.

(0:43) Aaron and Sue try to chase after Chester, hopping across riverbeds and fallen logs. They run past a massive waterfall before they hear Chester calling them from across the gorge. (0:59) They lose track of Chester and Aaron bemoans the fact they’re so far away from the time rover, but Sue halts him and tells him to look up. (1:12) A massive sauropod, seen from neck and above, walks right past them. Aaron quickly deduces that it’s the same dino that left the footprint they found earlier, and that it must be heading to the watering hole. Chester emerges and tells the two to come with him. (1:26) We get a tracking shot where the three run through the rainforest and emerge at the tail end, the camera panning out to reveal a valley filled with dinosaurs. (1:48) A flock of pterodactyls emerge from behind them and the camera follows them as they fly across the valley, performing aerial maneuvers through the necks of sauropods, scooping fish from the rivers and tussling with triceratopses, all while showing off the stunning vistas.

SCAVENGER WARS PREVIEW:

Joel - Daniel Henney
Kira - Naomi Scott
Barks - Keith David

Blob - Terry Notary (in mocap)

Context #1: The Scavenger Wars takes place in a far off future where humanity survives on board giant spaceships floating across space. A war breaks out with an alien race called the Scavengers. Human soldiers are boosted by a super serum called "Pallasium" that gives them enhanced physical abilities but is revealed to have come at two costs: hyper testosterone outbursts and a poison slowly killing them. Kira and Joel both have this serum in their bodies and are at different stages of poisoning.

Context #2: A sexual revolution has occurred between now and the time of the film so there are no longer any labeling when it comes to human sexuality. You can bang anyone as long as they're human without prejudice, hence the following exchange is less "Kira is a lesbian" but rather "everyone is bi/pan".

Context #3: Barks is the adoptive father of both Kira and Joel, which the movie is ambiguous on if they're actually siblings.

BEGIN SCENE:

We are re-introduced to Kira, now twenty-five years old, drinking away in a flashy club populated by patrons from all across the galaxy. On the television screen across the desk we see news footage of human soldiers advancing towards a scavenger stronghold on a distant planet, only to be pushed back by the enemy. The news is suddenly interrupted by an advertisement for a luxury hotel opening on the north starboard side of H.F.F Milky Wayconfirming our location. While intoxicated, Kira tries to make a move on another human (played by Brittanny Snow), only to be confronted by her big, fat alien blob of a boyfriend, who Kira creatively names "Blob".

[Note: Occasionally an alien species converses with a human character in their own language, although most often the human character can still understand them. Alien speech is written in brackets]

Blob: (You're trying to get with my girl, human?!)

Kira: [turns to Blob's GF] Is that your boyfriend? I kinda assumed you would go for men who'd bathe more than... [sniffs] twice a decade, maybe.

Blob: (If itty, bitty little human is so concerned over hygiene then she better scram back to her itty, bitty little bathtub, before I take a dump all over her itty, bitty little face!)

Blob's girlfriend: Darling, she's not worth the trouble. Remember, one more strike and it's back to prison.

Kira: Oh what, can’t hit a girl?

[ Kira is immediately proven wrong when she’s struck in the face by Blob’s fist. She falls to the floor as other bar patrons go “OOOHHHH”. Kira gets back up, wipes the blood off her mouth and grins. ]
Kira: Now that’s more like it!

Kira shows off her acrobatic skills by leaping onto Blob’s head with her legs and throw him across the bar. This shocks the other bar patrons even more, and whispers among the crowd dub Kira as a “super soldier” while she continues to wrestle with Blob. Blob’s girlfriend just rolls her eyes and calmly asks the bartender for another drink. The bartender, also unmoved by what’s unraveling in front of them, complies. Meanwhile, Blob grabs a table and tries to squash Kira with it, but she evades and uses her window to smash Blob in the back with a chair, downing him temporarily. Bar patrons start taking bets on who will win the fight until Blob gets up and grabs a patron and throws said patron at Kira. Other bar patrons leap on Blob in retaliation but he fights them back and an all out mega-brawl breaks out. Bob grabs one guy and throws him through the window, alerting people outside the bar who call on city guards to defuse the situation inside. The brawl escalates and Kira finds herself trapped at the bottom of a pile of patrons as Blob has been sent into a blind rage and attacks whoever even dares to look at him. She starts choking as she’s being squeezed, but feels a familiar hand grabbing her and freeing her from the pile. She looks up and sees her brother Joel who tells her to stand back as he deals with Blob. Joel approaches Blob in calm, but Blob immediately recognizes Joel from an earlier encounter and we see Joel let out an “oh shit” before Blob tackles him. Joel’s face is slammed into a wall and Blob holds him there, taking the opportunity to drill his face in while he’s at it. Joel snaps and lets out a bloodcurdling scream, causing everyone in the bar to stop fighting. Blob, suddenly terrified, lets Joel go and we see a bruised Joel staring at him, eyes bulging. Kira, immediately realizing what she’s done, lets out an “oh no”. Joel grabs a blunt object which he uses to smash Blob’s face in and Blob falls to the ground. Joel, in a blind fit of rage, keeps beating Blob's face in. Kira screams at the other patrons asking if anyone has a “doser” that she apparently needs to calm Joel down with. She’s given a needle with a yellow liquid in it and she leaps on her brother and wraps her arm around his throat while sticking the needle in his neck, which seems to calm him down. Guards finally arrive and arrest pretty much everyone in the bar as Joel falls unconscious.

We cut to a little bit later outside the bar where Kira is seen holding her still drowsy brother in her arms while being tended to by medical personnel. She’s told by a nurse that since so many were hurt badly during the brawl there weren’t enough ambulances available to take everyone to the hospital in one go so they’re delivering the critically injured first, which includes Blob. Blob’s girlfriend appears, telling Kira the brawl inside resulted in her being blinded in one eye, and she proceeds to spit in Kira’s face before she trots away. Joel’s consciousness returns gradually and he asks his sister what just happened in there. She doesn’t tell him, only saying it’s her fault and she’s sorry for dragging him into it. A car pulls up next to them and out steps Commander Barks who rushes over to his two children. He sees they’re both okay (relatively) and immediately goes into berating them.

Barks: I really thought I could trust at least one of you, but you managed to prove me wrong!
Kira: Dad… don’t put the blame on Joel. I was the one who started it.
Barks: ...What happened to you, Kira? You used to be such an upstanding young woman.
Kira: I… I don’t know.
Barks: [sighs] I don’t know what to say. I know the serum’s affecting your brother badly. But I thought you’d be better. [turns to Joel] How you doing, son?
Joel: My head hurts… but I think I can manage.
Barks: You’re both coming home and stay with me while we figure things out. Don’t worry about the guards, I convinced them to let you go.
Kira: ...You bribed them.
Barks: That I did. But for you and everyone else’s sake I’m not gonna let you sleep in a jail cell tonight.
