Bastien
There are so much movies to reviews, and my english being what it is, I thought it would be a cool idea to make simple reviews in tweet form. Just like some reviewers post after seeing a movie Will do it month by month #KillerPlane is all you want from #MichaelBay: absurd, over the top, but definitely the best when it comes to action! B- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 Well January is not gonna be smart apparently, #Ophidiophobia is aware of its stupidity but is actually too aware of it to be really funny D — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 smart movie when it comes to talk about the excess of social medias ! : B #LakeofthePsychopaths 2/2 — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #TimmysWinterVacation is very inofensive, has a rather cute moral and a smooth flow. Not memorable tho. C+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #CaptainPlanet has an amazing casting, but is so naive that it's getting annoying and ridiculous. Some nice action moments tho. C+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #SOMA is unique and so good, certainly a must see. Full of mysteries, thrill moments and complex story SOMA is what scifi is made for ! A- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #TheArtificialAge is your typical WS Anderson movie. Chaotic story and weird directing. Why Luke Evans is wasting his talent in this? /D\— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #BattleMars3D, a less impressive and creative John Carter. Pretty uggly CGI too.. C-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 Edited September 12, 2017 by Bastien
Hiccup23
Great for Lake of Psychopaths!! Hoping Friday the 13th can surge it box office wise. LOVE this idea! Very fresh and entertaining!!
cookie
I love how divisive Ophidiophobia is here and when it was posted in 2.0. It's either too stupid or not stupid enough. Edited September 12, 2017 by cookie
Xillix
I am astonished anyone gave Captain Planet more than a D. 1
Bastien
I'm actually a nice reviewer eheh! If a movie tries not to be more than what it is I think it's just fine. FEBRUARY #TheDevilsHitman, you know what ? That was fun ! A Uwe Ball movie that dont that doesn't have the usual Uwe Ball's quirks. B- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #WhiteJerseys as good as what you can expect from a Glee director who's doing a Sportdrama movie ! C — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 and the character development and sister-thing is a bit forced. /B\ 2/2 #MirrorsEdge — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 and the directing is boring, and the taboos raised by the film are unlikely to thrill anyone. D+ #PoisonAndWine — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 Maybe It would have been even better with more interwined stories. But still, it's a must see! /A\ #SCPFoundation — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 Despite some cheap effects, #TTAFFBH is one of the best decerebrate movie of the bgning of the year! Nice character&, funny moments : B+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #BraveStarr mixes the genres and is doing pretty well, we end up with a simple but efficient blockbuster full of nostalgia. B — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 12 septembre 2017 #BestFriendsForever, disturbing and thrilling. Best Friend Forever is the super efficient but maybe a bit too casual horror movie of Feb. Bastien
MARCH but we, we loved this dive into the unknown! B+— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 13 septembre 2017 #Seance uses clichés, but doesnt misuse them; the result is a horor film that is super effectv and frightening although abit predictable. B— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 13 septembre 2017 Not a fan of the genre, #JimsAdversity is dfntly not for me. nice cast, an academic directing but not rlly intrstng for a nonbaseball fan C— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 13 septembre 2017 These days it's sometimes good to escape, #Jungles offers 80 minutes of pure exoticism. A real trip! B— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 13 septembre 2017 #SecondWind is a pure popcorn movie. The duo really works, and the directing is efficient. Why not? B-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 13 septembre 2017 #DawnofExtinction will probably become a guilty please. It's stupid, yes. But god I love seeing Samuel L Jackson overacts like this ! B-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 13 septembre 2017 #SignedInBlood is an uninspired and uncreative version of Baby Driver. Give him back his iPod ! C-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 13 septembre 2017 #SeeingHer is so touching that we forget all the leaps and keep the magnificent performance of Peters and the poignant story. Xillix
I don't really see what Signed in Blood has in common with Baby Driver other than being an action movie. The actual rating is about what I expected though

Bastien
APRIL #SalemsLot is a not very inspired adaptation of King. Not really thrilling, or inspiring. D+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 14 septembre 2017 If you're a fan of the genre, you won't be out of touch. #SecondToSingapore includes all codes of the genre, no more. C+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 14 septembre 2017 the developement of the story and the efficient spooky moments ! B — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 14 septembre 2017 #HeMan offers an imprssive new univ, allstar cast,&convincing action scene Toobad Leterrier doesnt have the mastery to make it a real hit B — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 14 septembre 2017 #ALovetoDieFor is carried by a convincing Tattum &a delicious Jennifer Lawrence that turns this film into the mustsee of the Spring. A- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 14 septembre 2017 #PЯom as its moments and does the job as a funny young-adult comedy. B- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 14 septembre 2017 #TheTrail is sorely lacking in fun to be really good. Still, slashers fans might like it. C- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 14 septembre 2017 (I have almost finished the reading of every movie. The last big one is Voltron... Xillix
To be fair, there's not actually a rule that you HAVE to review every movie, or that you have to do them in order.

Bastien
(actually, I really want to read everything, so I finally finished the read of Voltron...) this adventure will please everyone and has real moments of adventure and comedy. This movie, is crafted with talent. A— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 the characters seem uninteresting and the casting choices awkward... C-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #AmongtheSerpents is all about surviving and characters are pretty flat. Still as a Survival, it's great. B-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 With its superb exotic sceneries, #MaraDaughteroftheNile makes you forget the simplicity of its romance and story.— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #TheUltimatePrank is probably the saddest and most empty attempt at comedy in a long time. E— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #BloodandFur is completely absurd. But I must confess that the film has a good rhythm and made me laugh. B-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #OperationMegasquad knows its weaknesses and tries to fill them by gathering a casting that will make the starry-eyed girls scream. D+— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 If, like me, you like MacFarlane's madness, even the worst, then #BrandyBrook should please you but careful, it's completely ireverent! B-— BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 have been a very good blockbuter. Favreau is not the right director for a project of this size. I think Voltron because of the number of the characters is close to IM2 and the movie was a complete mess because of the inability of Favreau to direct big projects like this. I really don't like him. 5 hours ago, Hiccup23 said: @Bastien What is the review grade for Mara? Oops, I forgot. B- __ I have now finished the reading of every Year1's movie. JUNE #Airframe is a rather cynical and cold film. If the film is rather well constructd and goes quickly, I have to say it was hard to get in.C+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 Wow. I hope the villa The Rock will buy thanks to his salary for #TheGreatWhite will be nice (the movie isnt). D- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 remaining very poetic. A great success, both visually and narratively. A — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #GoGoGobots the "we want our franchise to sell toys" at its worst. Actors look to have fun tho. D+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 The worst? We're not really laughing at any moment... D- — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #Rollercoaster has real moments of successful tension, but unfortunately the story still seems very artificial. C+ — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #TheYellowWallpaper The premise seemed perfect for Aronofsky. Unftly, the film is nt able to rise in tension& the climax is disappointing C — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #MinniesTreasureHunt will not please the parents bc it tries to be nothing more than a child movie, it'll surely please the younger ones. C — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 to that of an advertisement for a soda. D — BeyondReview (@BeyondtheReview) 15 septembre 2017 #SailingChampion (another) Sport movie... cookie
Except character balancing is a script issue and not a directing issue. If you want to say I made it too bloated (which I will vehemently disagree on since I simplified the source material to a big degree) that's fine, but to make that criticism because of the director I chose doesn't really add up in my view. And again, Favreau's resumé proves otherwise. Even smaller films like Chef that have a fairly large cast.
