CoolioD1
Havent seen Phoenix yet, but my favorite of the nominees right now is Jackman. Astonishing performance He's my second favorite. Easily the best thing that mofo has done.
Jack Nevada
He's my second favorite. Easily the best thing that mofo has done. I hate using this term, but its a *ahem* tour de force of acting Edited February 1, 2013 by Jack Nevada

Jack Nevada
Does this mean my taste is as shit as yours now? Well, I'm pretty sure my taste isn't as elitist as yours.
The Futurist
3 Oscahs. Damn. Jack is not gonna like this.
Jake Gittes
Maybe Jack will get inspired to finally get up and really show 'em how it's done once again. I don't want his last performance to be How Do You Know, and his last great performance to be in a film that's 10 years old already. (that'd be About Schmidt). Jack Nevada
I loved him in The Departed. He was pretty OTT in that movie (even on Nicholson standards) but I still think he was robbed a supporting actor nomination
CoolioD1
If Jack gets another nomination (or Michael Caine) he'll be the first person to get oscar nominations for 6 different decades iirc.

I think he's unofficially quit acting. I dont know what kind of a medical shape he is in, either.
CoolioD1
I think he's unofficially quit acting. I dont know what kind of a medical shape he is in, either. Yeah, he's pretty damn old. Doesn't even turn up to oscars for the last few years.
Jack Nevada
Yeah, he's pretty damn old. Doesn't even turn up to oscars for the last few years. That sucks, man. It always seemed like the Oscars were like the highlight of his years, didn't it? He was always having a blast and grinning his ass off even when the hosts were bad

Jake Gittes
I loved him in The Departed too, but it was a pretty one-note part. In About Schmidt, he's on as high a level as he's ever been - subtle, layered and shedding a lot of his natural movie star charisma. And not that he doesn't deserve his unofficial retirement, but yeah, I'm pretty sad he's for the most part completely off the radar now. I'm sure he could find work if only he wanted to - I mean, Christopher Plummer is 8 years older and is doing great. Although he's definitely in a better physical shape, too. Kvikk Lunsj
1. Lewis and Jackman are tied for me the best actor of the year. 3. Cooper 4. Washington (should not have been nominated) Have seen Phoenix performance yet.
The Futurist
Nicholson made a fortune out of the first Batman. It settled him for life.
