didn't know it has France left (and maybe other markets?). with that 250 ww seems very likely. usually adding 2x the weekend is not a big ask especially if it has a major market or more to go.

 

don't know how much BP will affect MZ3 but 2x the weekend more os gives it 143 + 70 = 213 os.

dom it had a 10.2m weekend but was dented by SB so could add 2-2.5x more for 40 + 20-25 = 60-65 dom

 

that gives 213 + 62.5 = 275+ ww

MR:DC will open in 4 markets next weekend including France. It opened in Mexico and Germany this weekend. That helped with the very good drop from last weekend.

Although I am happy for Dylan O'Brien that the movie did well bo-wise, I did think that the movie itself is quite dull. The first one is the only re-watchable movie in the franchise.

It's on 50m dom after a 6m weekend. So 62-63 seems reasonable.

Had a 23.5 os weekend so 45-50 more gives 225-230 os.

62.5 + 227.5 = 290 ww...hoping it does 300+ ww but BP opening everywhere might hurt late legs. At leas dom has a 4-day weekend and VD Sunday to cushion the blow.

I guess 300 million worldwide won't happen, but the numbers aren't bad considering the budget. The series finished with dignity.

Fox estimated Maze Runner: The Death Cure at $11M in 65 markets, dipping just 26% in France and 32% in Germany to reach an intl cume of $205M. Its final territory debut is in Japan on June 15.

That takes it to 271.7 + 14.3 + 2 = 288

 

With these numbers MZ3 would need only around 2 usd there for 290 (MZ2 did 3.4 in Japan)

I guess 300 million worldwide won't happen anymore, but the trilogy got a good ending and it managed to conclude the plot with dignity.

Another $7.1M in 65 markets takes Fox’s threequel to $215.4M overseas. France had a great hold, rising 5% to cume $16.8M to date. France is generally the lead market outside China on this franchise which still has Japan to come way down the line in June.
