I wonder what inspires Dennis Quaid to choose the projects he appears in. He's been exclusively doing these smaller releases for quite some time.

My hypothesis:

 

The marketing of this film was intentionally held back by Sony, so that the other Sony thriller coming out in the month of May--Brightburn--could receive a larger amount of marketing. The Intruder may have acted as a sacrificial lamb for Brightburn's potential status as a sleeper hit. Of course, this could also be a sleeper hit. That is, if people know it's coming out.

Barring a disastrous $3M OW or something, this movie will make decent bank. There's always somewhat of a market for these thrillers.

Not surprised. He and he alone is making me want to this, at least judging by the trailer.
