charlie Jatinder
UAE Weekend 20-22 May, 2021 F9 - 172,084 ($2.3M Approx) Wrath of Man - 20,467 (-63%) / 107,183 ($287K / $1.5M) Peter Rabbit 2 - 17,279 (-43%) / 55,201 ($225K / $730K) Radhe - 6,845 (-81%) / 105,780 ($72K / $1080K) Demon Slayer - 4,625 (-67%) / 24,814 ($60K / $332K) F9 biggest opener Post COVID with 172,084. Previous best was GVK, exact number not known but around 100K in 3 days. F9 is 44% down FF8 but a lot will got to capacity issue. The real value is probably 225-250K. Fast and Furious comps FF8 - 306,263 F7 - 280K ish Hobbs and Shaw - 237,727 Good hold for all except Radhe considering how previous weekend was Eid holiday and this week had massive release of F9. Was there some kind of reporting issue? You mixed UAE with KSA. KSA screen count was cut after Cruella and Conjuring 3 release so no 3rd weekend record. Total now $6.9M adding $1.4M in last week. Can still go for $10M depending on competition, which well, Quiet Place 2 release next week. Then there is Luca. And Cruella & TC3 are doing well as well, so shows will reduce, that's a sure. Cruella probably is around $1.9M at end of weekend in KSA. Full run may be $4-8M depending on how it hold the shows. In KSA total currently are basically decided by how the competition is. Joker released during empty October. Bad Boys had empty Jan/Feb. F9 has 350 shows a day in VOX in first weekend, this weekend is around 120 I think, hence the fall. charlie Jatinder
KSA I will probably get my monthly update this week. Few guesses. AQP2 seems like $1.25M weekend. Great start but big competition, so can't go to big gross. Cruella probably $0.5M weekend, total probably $2.7M ish. F9 $325K weekend. Total $7.635M. charlie Jatinder
Quote Up next was Saudi Arabia with $600K for a No. 4 debut that is 18% ahead of Soul and 17% ahead of Raya. The UAE was good for a No. 2 start at $500K (70% above Soul and 62% over Raya). School holidays start next week. Rounding out the Top 5, Israel’s $300K launch was No. 2 in the market with school holidays starting today. The debut was 132% over Soul and 78% above Raya Luca $1.5M weekend in Middle East. #4 start in KSA with $600K. I suppose Cruella was over Luca in KSA then. Hitman's Bodyguard $2.1M. I suppose KSA $1.1M and UAE $0.85M.
