Films
Vue cinemas are also probably more busy today as they have super Tuesday so everything is cheaper
SchumacherFTW
What does everyone think will be number 1 on Boxing Day?FROZEN UPDATE12:50- 116 seats sold13:50- 28 seats remainingEither the Hobbit or frozen. Frozen has momentum, but many people I know go to middle earth on boxing day as a tradition going back as far as fellowship.
Jonwo
I think American Hustle is going to open well on NYD, not sure how much at the moment but it'll be top five minimum.

Heretic
Frozen's showtimes have exploded. From boxing day onwards, it's getting the 2 biggest screens, AND it has more showtimes than DOS. Gonna be making lots of $$$

SchumacherFTW
Ashford cineworld has gone full retard. Dhoom 3 sells out every single screening, so what do they do on Friday? Drop it! What the Fuck?!

Heretic
The Hobbit should win boxing day. So far today in pre-sales it looks comfortably strongest. Openers look kinda weak.
JCS
Mitty should win out of the openers, most screenings too.
SchumacherFTW
I don't feel any buzz for Mitty, or Ronin. I just looked at my cineworld listings for the new year, we AREN'T getting paranormal activity! Is this the year the franchise really crashes and burns? Heretic
Is boxing day a big BO day in the UK? Because, apart from The Hobbot, nothing looks that busy, at least not compared to Monday and Tuesday, and even the Hobbit isn't anything special...Maybe everyone's shopping in the sales. Is this the year the franchise really crashes and burns? Is that only for the 1st and 2nd because it seems to be getting a smaller release on those days. It's got 2 showings at harrow on those two days but goes to 7 from the 3rd onwards
SchumacherFTW
We haven't got anything past the second, but it's at least a good indicator. I think we're likely to get Mandela, while AH well certainly have more than 2 screenings per day.

Heretic
I've been to Westfield shepherds bush on boxing day a couple of years ago and it was absolutely rammed. Still not as bad as oxford street though.
