Hobbit 2 will surpass Hobbit 1 :o

Have to disappoint you. If our calcullations are true Smaug fell behind Journey on January 1-2. And the difference is really huge.

Journey made 2.72 mln on January 2 vs 1.9 mln for DoS.

I think i know why i overestimate Hobbit using ekinobilet numbers, it's the same reason i overestimated HG:CF a bit, IMAX, earnings from IMAX theaters are so much bigger, than from normal theaters, and 80%+ of them should be in ekinobilet coverage, that's why other movies are in line(~10%), or well above(~85%), i should just use smaller multiplier for IMAX movies.

Hobbit 1 was also at 38.5m after third weekend. So Hobbit 2 isn't that far behind.

After 2nd weekend it was 29.1 vs 26.6 mln. Local movies are making big money too.

7-15% drops on Friday. Only Frozen increased by 6%.

Apparently Frozen may also pass billion RUB thanks to strong business on holidays. Some major theater chains even added shows for Frozen in last two days.

Smaug on Friday was 25% below Journey.

30M?
