Onri
After great OD CA:CW fell hard on friday. -30% is not good at all. Yes, it's dead May days with great weather and Monday will be holiday. But all other films including new openers rose on friday at least 16%. Taking into account all this and rather strong night business for Cap, drop about 15% would be reasonable, 30% is way too hard... Even BvS droped 20% Further dynamics remain unclear. CA:CW will not match Ultron opening 815M for sure (Ultron also had excluded prewies which Cap didn't have). But Cap still gonna pass BvS final (entire run) number 835M rubles on in's 5th day (nation holiday on Monday). Holidays will help TJB before Angry birds will kill it next weekend. Still have a shot for #18 all time in rubles. Zootopia is making it's last millions (of rubles of course :D) on this holidays. Can remain in top10 for the last time. Onri
May holidays and weather are killing CA:CW. Saturday is lower than OD thursday. OW will be only about 620-640M rubles (9,6-9,7M$). Ultron with lower (!) OD had 815M opening (previews not included). Monday holiday will help CA:CW for sure, but exceeding TJB final result will be really hard.
Onri
Free fall continues. Only 602,6M (9.1M$) OW kinobusiness estimates for CA:CW based on early sunday data. http://kinobusiness.com/news/kassovye-sbory-v-sng-za-uik-end-5-8-maya-2016-dannye-neofitsialnye-i-predvaritelnye/ With OD 6% above Ultron, OW will be about 36% behind it O_o TJB again falling more than 60% despite holidays. Cracking top20 alltime is not likely anymore with Angry Birds coming next week Since end of April every single day exept CA:CW OD is so weak Edited May 8, 2016 by Onri
Fullbuster
Why do you compare it with Ultron, it's a Captain America movie! CA CW crushed CA TWS!
Fullbuster
The Winter Soldier => $7.7m OW Civil War => $9.1m +18.2% for CA CW, that's fantastic, and it did it with a much worse exchange rate so in RUB it's certainly much wider a gap It's my thread and this title comparing it to Ultron instead of the previous CA movies is unacceptable, I rightfully changed it. Aristis
I think why many compare it to Ultron was widely explained: It's called Captain America but it has so many other characters in it that it's more an avengers movie than an First Avenger. That is called Captain America, the main character is Captain America and Bucky is central while directly continuing TWS' story...Sorry but there is no debate to have, it's a CA movie. Plus Thor and Hulk aren't in it.

Can you see word "America" in it? No CA movies had "America" in local title. He is "The first avenger" from a very first film. And "Civil war" was banned for some reasons. Working title for CA:CW was "Split of avengers" - no Cap at all! That title became wide known before it was finally changed to "The first avenger: Opposition" (still no "America" and "Civil War"). So in Russia CA:CW is Avengers movie even in title CA:CW OW is about 13% more than entire run of CA: The Winter Soldier. It was called The first avenger: Another war Edited May 9, 2016 by Onri
juni78ukr
Official weekend estimates. 610.1 mln RUB or 9.24 mln USD. 13th best start ever, 3rd best for May openings and 2nd best for 2016 26% below Age of Ultron http://www.kinobusiness.com/news/kassa-uik-enda-5-8-maya-2016-goda-onlayn/

Stop comparing dollar amounts. No one cares for your stubborn insistence and it's just wrong. The local currency is the right way to compare. If you want to compare dollar amounts, then you need to specify that you're comparing dollar amounts. If you just mention a percentage, then the convention is that you're referring to local currency. You should change the title. Even Deadline, Box Office Mojo and all American media refer to records only when they are in local currency. Stop being so authoritarian when no one agrees with you. Onri
Actuals rise for CA:CW to 621M rubles or 9.4M$ http://www.kinobusiness.com/kassovye_sbory/weekend/2016/08.05.2016/usd/ Second OW of the year. 17% more than BvS but 24% less than Ultron. 16% more than entire run of CA:TWS 2,23 mln admission. Very good and still #2 of the year. Only 3rd movie of 2016 to open over 2 mln admission. Average ticket price for CA:CW was 278 rubles and even a bit lower than for TJB. BvS tickets on OW were 7% more expensive. Edited May 11, 2016 by Onri
