John Marston
Pretty weak for TDKR. It won't even reach 20m
Fullbuster
Huge OW. Russia is indeed the new OS big market. For American comedies it's promising, more than Asia because they have a very different culture so the American humor can be special for them. Fullbuster
Pretty weak for TDKR. It won't even reach 20m-64% from a weak OW, it's disappointing, indeed.

Fullbuster
But it will double TDK gross Given the flop of TDK in Russia it's not big..
peludo
Given the flop of TDK in Russia it's not big..But that's the reality of Russia: they don't like too much Batman. And with the 8 million TDK, I think the number is quite good.

Fullbuster
BTW I expect good holds for Ted next week, but not for TDKR because of Total Recall (it will take any screens)
peludo
It's pretty good. But I don't know their problem with Batman, maybe it's too dark or social ?Dark, social or even depressing. I can understand some people prefer to see something more optimistic, funny or "colored" like Avengers.

peludo
I'm one of them.I think TDK and TDKR are good but I preferred TASM, they're too dark and social.I am in the other side. I have never liked too much SH movies. An evening I watched BB and TDK at home because I had heard how good they were. And I absolutely loved both. And now I love TDKR too. I like a lot that darkness and the social message, beyond the trilogy is absolutely entertaining

Fullbuster
Go TASM. TASM won, it passed $22m and TDKR won't pass 20m And Spiderman did 13m in 2007 so it's way ahead :)I think it's a good omen for TASM2, it could pass $30m in Russia
Fullbuster
The gross of The Avengers in Russia will help Iron Man 3, expect higher numbers than TDKR and TASM for it

The Untouchables 11,167 - 1,673,024 Ted is successful with only 630 screens, with the same numbers of screens than TDKR it could have $11.5m OW TDKR dipped... Ice Age 4 could be slightly ahead of IA3 in the end French movies (Marsupilami and Cendrillon) failed...And the Chinese Flower of War is a failure too. Brave did pretty good for a Pixar movie in Russia, $16m With 22m TASM is the most successful SH movie behind The Avengers
Fullbuster
For the moment Madagascar 3 is the winner of 2012, only The Hobbit could pass it.
