Rudolf
With June it's the same in Austria; June 2012 admissions were only about 51% of June 2011. But the whole of 2012 is lagging behind too:2011 Jan-June we had more than 6,6mil admissions, 2012 Jan-June 5,7mil. Only 2008 had a worse first half in recent history.I blame release schedules. There were no big animated movies in the frst half of the year.

IndustriousAngel
I thought the increase would be about the same in Austria. Why is there a discrepancy?Well, more than 600k of the 900k gap are explained by Euro2012 (June), but March 2012 was very poor too, trailing March 2011 by nearly 200k. The main difference to Germany are 2 comedies: "Türkisch für Anfänger" and "Intouchables" were also the Top 2 in Austria in March, but they did much better in Germany.

IndustriousAngel
That's even worse for Paranorman than expected - DOA. It might even come in behind local comedy "Die Kirche bleibt im Dorf" with its very limited opening. IA4 and Brave were head-to-head last week, now IA4 is getting seriously ahead. Looking at those numbers you'd never guess IA4 is in week 8 and Brave in week 4!Total Recall does even worse than I expected; next weeks "Expendables 2" should do a little better and put TR out of misery

IndustriousAngel
Yep. In Austria Ted has crossed 500k admissions and in german-speaking Switzerland it's near 200k, so Austria+Germany+Switzerland: Already about 3,4mio admissions and counting ...Paranorman's PTA is absymally bad for an opener. Will be out of screens in no time. Low-budget local comedy "Die Kirche bleibt im Dorf" otoh had the best PTA and might expand into other german regions - if not next WE then the week after. I think it might reach the Top10 next WE and stay there for 2 or 3 weeks.

The coming weekend has a lot of openers: "Expendables2" should have no problems securing nr.1, other notable openers: Woody Allens "To Rome With Love", South-African CGI film "Zambezia" and "Step Up - Miami Heat", french arthouse thriller "Holy Motors" - and there seem to be some theaters giving "Think Like a Man" a headstart (officially opens the weekend after). Since there are no comedies opening (I don't count EX2) Ted should have another good hold; it will be interesting if "Zambezia" will hurt IA4 and Brave - the trailers looked nice but there's no brand behind it. "To Rome With Love" had mixed reviews; if it does half the business of "Midnight in Paris" Woody should be satisfied - this should open in the Top 10 but I expect weak legs. IndustriousAngel
A bit more admissions than Ex1 but the € is lower this year so about the same in US-$ - between 8 and 9 million US-$ would be my guess.

IndustriousAngel
1.5mil admissions for Brave still in play! Still poor for Pixar but after the mediocre opening 1 million looked like a struggle.
The Toymaker
Well 425k in admissions will obliterate TE1's total. We should be in for a nice $ total and admissions total.
IndustriousAngel
I'm actually surprised about "To Rome With Love" which is headed towards a 100k-opening - must be good vibes from "Midnight in Paris" because most reviews were only lukewarm, still congratulations to Woody Allen! With Expendables2 it remains to be seen how it will work out - I smell a typical sequel pattern - higher opening, higher drops. But with more than 400k it will easily top Expendables1 even with short legs.
