Fullbuster
It's the 5th most awaited movie on adorocinema this week http://www.adorocinema.com/filmes/mais-esperados/ That's not really good you know, usually when a very anticipated blockbuster is coming in a few days it takes the top spot, not the fifth stop, it's pretty worrying...

You are right about that. Let's hope for the best! On Friday morning we will have some OD numbers from other Latin American countries. I can't wait to see this movie!!

Goffe
So guys, what do you expect for Interstellar in Brazil? I don't feel any excitement from Brazilians.. lower your expectations, Interstellar will flop here. I know it's anecdotal evidence, but my theater has only 3 showings for Interstellar, 3 FUCKING SHOWINGS ON OW! Annabelle was released 5 weeks ago and it still has 2 showings; Book of Life was released 2 weeks ago and it still has 2 showings; Even this obscure animated movie has 3 showings on OW this weekend. I don't think it will pass 1m admissions Edited November 4, 2014 by Goffe R Swanson

Fullbuster
The Avengers in the European Union = $233m, in Latin America = $192m. Latin America can be as good as Europe for Hollywood movies now, it's really impressive and that shows how big this region became (and its growth is far from over). Maybe The Avengers 2 can do better in LA than in the EU next year

Fullbuster
OMG, this Brazilian election was disappointing but the midterms elections are soooo good  A Republican wave, Greg Abbott crushed its opponent by 22 points My favorite governors (because they bravely reformed their states and got prosperity back there : Rick Scott from Florida, Rick Snyder from Michigan, John Kasich from Ohio,Sam Brownback and Scott Walker from Wisconsin. Fullbuster
Brazil hates sci-fi? I would say they don't seem to care, maybe they still lack a sci-fi culture, Brazil never seemed involved or interested in space exploration and they're still relatively backwards (no offense guys) in terms of science and R&D spending (only 0.9% of their GDP is dedicated tp R&D spending compared to 2.7% in the US, 2% in China, 1.9% in France or 2.3% in Germany, it's very low).

Wally
I don't think Interstellar will flop, it just won't be as big as other blockbusters this year. And Mockingjay coming 2 weeks later won't help at all.
