• TJG #1, $7.6M total (47% from 3D) including one-day previews last Sunday. Higher than AIW but less than Maleficent in lc. Already in the Top 10 of the year.
• THWW #2, $1.1M weekend for a $5.1M total.
• BVS: $35M total, may be enough for #8 all time lc.
• 10 Cloverfield Lane: #4, $0.73M OW.

Weekly numbers. Solid Mon-Thu figures for TJB, already #6 of the year in lc and could leap over Zootopia and KFP3 by the end of its run (unless CA3 hoards all the theatres!). THWW flat, but made it into the Top 10 of the year (won't last long). BVS losing traction, now #8 all time in lc but it will finish at #7, sandwiched between JW and IA4. Not a small achievement, mind you.

It will be hit hard, but with Children's Day on 30 April (Sat), it may save some face.

 

BoxOffice.com and Deadline are now reporting that TJB is up to $15.6M. That'd mean a weekend drop of just 15%, which would be an all-time record for recent tentpoles. Let's see what the lc numbers say tomorrow.

 

BVS up to $35.7M.

Weekend numbers. TJB drop was just 20% in lc, the best in years, and it's #5 so far in 2016. Decent drops for the rest of the movies (including BVS, now #7 all time in lc) ... except for Cloverfield Ave, which collapses ('tis not a big market for Sci Fi). Local movie Guatdafoc and God's Not Dead 2 barely registers.

CW didn't open in Mexico on Thursday, so the 4-day OW will be Fri-Mon (which is a bank holiday). It could potentially be as big as AOU, FF7 or BVS.

 

In the meantime, TJB is still doing great, over 300M lc now. Will post the table soon.

..Civil War record-breaking OD! The deed is done. Mojo reports that CW opened with $7.3M, #1 OD of all time and obliterating AOU record. That'd be an amazing 125M in lc and would put the all-time Top 3 OD as:
