Carlangonz
JULY 29TH-AUGUST 1ST WEEKEND. JUNGLE CRUISE BARELY REGISTERS $1M AS ONE OF DISNEY'S LOWEST RECENT OPENINGS. EVERYTHING ELSE BUT SNAKE EYES SEES DECENT HOLDS AND FAST 9 IS THE FIRST TITLE SINCE FROZEN 2 TO PASS $500M. Jungle Cruise One of the lowest wide openings in recent history for Disney; on par with A Wrinkle in Time and shall be one of the very few wide releases by Disney to not to pass $100M in the last decade. Space Jam: A New Legacy Important to notice this is the only family-film to cross $100M during pandemic times and even though is legging behind comparable family films in previous years (i.e. Hotel Transylvania 3, Lion King) it's keeping up pace to finish around $170M. Fast and Furious 9 First title to gross $500M+ since Frozen 2 and seems to remain as the highest grossing title of the year until December unless Delta prevents it. Black Widow It will barely cross $200M and finish as the second less grossing title in the MCU only above The Incredible Hulk. In terms of admissions it'll be the less impactful. # MOVIE WEEKEND % CHANGE TOTAL (MXN) TOTAL (USD) ADM. Purple Minion
Weak $2M OW for The Suicide Squad, the C rating definitely impacted. Jungle Cruise total is $2M. Any other movie in 2021 that could become a box office tent-pole?
Carlangonz
AUGUST 5TH-8TH WEEKEND. THE SUICIDE SQUAD TAKES THE HIT FROM ITS C (18+ ONLY) RATING AND A MEASURED BUZZ. Carlangonz
Seems to be that Black Widow will be only the second MCU title not to cross $200M lc after 2008's The Incredible Hulk. In terms of admissions will be the lowest grossing title for the franchise staying 27% behind 2008's Hulk. Shang-Chi should challenge it.

charlie Jatinder
What happend to Mexico man. GvK opening was HUGE and then F9 did quite well (ugh) but BW was disaster and now I have a bad feeling for SC. DIS didn't report territory wise yday so there is a lot of range there but seeing other markets, it feel tough, might have only done $3M 4 days. Purple Minion
45.4M lc OW for Shang-Chi ($2.3M), Canacine is no longer adding the number of screens so I assume theatre capacity has been impacted by the pandemic. The Suicide Squad crossed $5M.
