Jumanji easily, I even think it has a chance to open bigger than TLJ.

3 months ago I would have never thought that Jumanji > TLJ. But now I am not too sure... if it plays like San Andreas or TJB it could reach 400M.

I think the obstacle for openers this weekend is Christmas Eve, since this year is on Sunday; the most attended day of the week for theatres, a large part of gross will see affected. Saturday is a day of madness cause all of the 'last-minute' buys so there's plenty of people in theaters but don't know how much.

 

Weekdays are going to be more interesting than the weekend.

TLJ up to $9.05M by Thursday (172.64M lc); Daddy's Home 2 is at 189M lc will reach 200M, great for a comedy.

Jumanji OD Thu was $0.75M (15.15M lc), so it should win the weekend although the 4-day OW may not reach TLJ levels because of the Sunday Christmas situation.

ScreenDaily reports $10M ($192.4M MXN) for TLJ as of sunday, a massive 78% drop.

Jumanji debuted with $2.9M ($56M MXN) through its 4-Day OW; $41.6 from 3-Day OW.

 

Ferdinand did $1.3M ($25.45M MXN)

Karla Souza and Martha Higareda. After they, there aren't really great stars that guarantee good results.

 

Also, not an actor but movies from director Luis Estrada usually have good results.

TLJ stayed flat from Monday on Tuesday but then decreased about 30% on Discount Wednesday. Using similar metrics for Jumanji then should be between 140-150 by Wed

CANACINE just updated figures up to Thursday.  Jumanji #1 with 152.94M lc ($8M); Ferdinand up to 65.24M lc ($3.4M), not good; TLJ now 221.11M lc ($11.6M), not good as well; and JL is 470.99M lc ($24.5M), last of the not-good trio.

 

Wonder crossed 100M lc, and Coco at 1.0973B lc!
