A last victory flight for the Cruise missile. TOP GUN posted the biggest 16th Monday ever with its 109th day of release falling on LD.

TITANIC is clear second, it actually saw theatre increase even though the Oscars were in the rearviewmirror.

E.T. showing off its tremendous legs now, still plenty left in its first run.

Cruise has three entries in the top 5, as RAIN MAN saw a nice hold the day after the 1989 Oscar ceremony.

MAVERICK still in the top 5 and no 21th century film anywhere near it. What. A. Run.

Biggest domestic 16th Monday:

1. Top Gun                               $1,024,325    1,289    $794     $131,345,236   Sep 1

Would be 3rd easily if not happened yet the PVOD, now clearly is start to finish this legendary run, probably finish between 710-715 M, and clearly Cruise is the leggiest star, 3 films in top 5!!!

Well, I was partly right, I suspected Clerks 3 had a chance at doing a number that would challenge for first, and it performed above expectations, only thing I didn’t see coming was Barbadian doing as well as it is.

However, props to Justin Long, who was in the top two films at the box office yesterday.

TGM is still flying high on its 110th day, never want to come down.

TITANIC back on top. Then it's a fun battle for second place. TGM gets there due to its Tuesday bump, obviously back in the day Tuesdays were usually smaller than Monday.

E.T. gets on the podium, and two other Cruise flicks round up the top 5. RAIN MAN enyoying its post Oscar week and TOP GUN coming down a from the top after the LD weekend.

Biggest domestic 16th Tuesday:

1. Titanic                                     $932,621    3,265   $285     $532,113,277   Apr 7

2. Top Gun: Maverick                  $399,825    3,005   $133     $706,308,054   Sep 13

3. E. T.                                         $333,922    1,395    $268     $256,739,834   Sep 28

4. Rain Man                                $317,165    1,581    $194     $142,975,521   Apr 4

5. Top Gun                                  $314,325    1,289    $243     $131,659,551   Sep 2

TGM is still flying high on its 111th day, still has some fuel left in the tank.

TITANIC on top, who knew.

Then it's a fun battle for second place. After a bit of a shake up, E.T. takes second. MAVERICK stays on the podium.

Two other Cruise flicks round up the top 5. RAIN MAN enyoying its post Oscar week and TOP GUN (estimated figure) coming down after the LD weekend.

It's a shame we don't have exact daily numbers for TOP GUN, would be a fun track going forward how it compares to TGM, they will be very close.

Biggest domestic 16th Wednesday:

It´s crazy that E.T. after 4 months still had 100 M in the tank...

Rothman, Bullet Train is gonna need some help. Shave around 2M from Woman King's numbers, it will flop with or without them anyway.

Rothman, dismiss this, find the money somewhere else. The Woman King is doing good business.
