His new film, 'Les éphémères et permanents', chronicles a day in Paris of multiple unrelated, yet related people. It explores the nature of human relationships and the persistence of emotion and art within a 21st century society. Look for it to hit theatres in Y9. And it might not even be done in time for Y9 lol. (I've got pretty big ambitions for it. The Journeys of Ezen Baltakkan, an original series feasting the same animation style of A:TLA and LoK, is on its fourth season on Nickelodeon. Speaking of Lizards... The film opens in a steppe environment on the planet Chiron, with sparse vegetation. We see a small team of humans engaging in an archaeological and geological dig, unearthing some metal fragments. One of the humans finds an interesting cube with alien symbols and brings it to the dig leader. Instruments detect strange electromagnetic readings. Before any further examination can be done, motion sensors beep and suddenly there are puffs of smoke as gas canisters are mortared into the dig site, the gas paralyzing the humans. Soon a company of Spasslians, heavily clothed to protect from the elements, is in control of the site, stacking all equipment and findings to one side for investigation. One brings the cube to their leader, who pulls back a hood to show a slightly scarred and sickly-looking scaly Lizard face. As he studies it pensively, the underling asks (in Spasslian) “We have collected all artifacts, Prophet. What shall we do with the Star Crossers?” The Prophet, Neze (voice of Cumberbatch) gazes on the paralyzed humans and then replies “Eliminate them, leave no trace. They will simply think them swallowed up by a hostile world.” The camera slowly zooms in on Neze’s face studying the cube as we hear muffled alien gunshots off-screen. The science fiction thriller film event features Michael Fassbender, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, Anton Yelchin, Morgan Freeman, and Rosie Byrne. The premise of the film reads: "In 2045, when a signal is picked up by SETI from deep space, four scientists venture into outer space to discover the signals origins. Upon reaching the source, they discover a malevolent force of nature at work in the universe that will change their lives forever." The film has a confirmed budget of 125M and is shooting for an R rating. Alfonso Cuaron stated that they film is not looking to be a blockbuster hit, although blockbuster status would be awesome, but rather the film is Oscar bait and looking to redefine modern science fiction cinema.
