Now that we have Wed numbers, the critical demo day to see where this going, time to look at things in the big picture again.Today's number is the lynch pin. the ladies are saying with today's attendence that WOM is running strong. That resonance is getting deeper.Why 150m is 100% locked:Most thought frozen could do 75m, 10x OW, when it opened. shouldnt it do at least 10x this 7m estimated weekend? =150mIt averaged a 10% drop so far this week from the first midweek. 10% = 20 OW multiplier. =150m20× is based on a straight 10% decline per week. Throw in an extra 30m bump for SB and GW. = 180mTop ten all time movies in japan have extended runs and manage to make another 20m just when you think they're about to close. It reminds me of the pre 1985 runs in the US. Thats the effect of releasing the DVD a year later. =200mIf it was going to "crash" it ould have dropped 25-50% last weekend and estimated to drop 30-60% this weekend. Based on the current performance its unlikely to fall 25% with upcoming competion before GW or it would have done so already. Other top ten movies held well against stiff competition but declined faster when holiday/summer was over. Frozen is declining less post SB than the other phenoms and very little compared to its opening week.150m is the floor. AIW HP2 toast200m is looking good if it can hold -10-15% the next two weeks before GW, if that happens, GW will be huge and frozen will be on a run that will equal Forrest's after he knocked up Jenny! Because of the new movies, all the old movies have seen reduction in showtimes except Frozen.

Of course, the message also says that next weekend Frozen's showtimes and seats will be reduced to some extent

due to new movies like Conan Detective and Captain America.

I'm sure they will but I hope they advertise the sing-along really well. There was a lot of troubling news in sk of scuffles occuring between people who went to the sing-along without knowing it was a sing-along and people who went there to sing. Of course Disney Korea is really nothing compared to disney Japan so I'm sure nothing like that will occur I hope the Japanese audience embrace it fully!

BTW, official statistics has shown that this Monday and Tuesday combined earned more than 300m Yen, which

has far exceeded my calculations based on the past data. I think the hike in price must have come into play.

Wow a Japanese singalong version. It could give a big boost if they play it right. Yeah, people there are not familiar with singalong movies so I hope they advertise it well. I think it's Disney's effort to minimize screen loss when a bunch of blockbuster movies hit the theaters on April 26.

haha..because I mostly use cell phones at my office so I am not able to copy this table. Last week I have many days off. However, despite the reduction in adm, the BO is higher than the second week with higher TOHO adm.A striking evidence is that Mon and Tue earned 300m Yenwhich is higher than the second week werkdays.The reason is partly because of the hike in the ticket priceand partly because of the audience age group.With the end of SB, the audience this week is largely composed of adults, which means the avg. ticket price will be above 1500 Yen. In the second and third week, the avg price is around 1254. So, see the difference?

I see the difference. But the first week was not sb and ave ticket price was about 12.50. I guess a lot less kids going since they went last week.
